but i will allow you to see anyway...
Guidelines for submitting art in the arena
I HAVE NOTICED A FEW PIECES OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE STOLEN ART IN THE ART ARENA!!! I HAVE CREATED THIS JOURNAL ENTRY FOR THE PURPOSES OF TEACHING PEOPLE ABOUT WHAT YOU SHOULD AND SHOULDN'T SUBMIT IN THE ARENA!!! ALL SHALL HEED THIS MESSAGE!!

*cough* Thank you. Like me, most people don't read the terms of usage and guidelines and all that good crap, figuring that they're following the rules anyway, right? Well, it turns out that some people should read these things, because in reality, they haven't a clue. I am sick and tired of people submitting art that you can see a billion zillion times in google, photobucket, and all those other image search engine thingys, thinking that they can fool everyone into thinking that the art belongs to them. Well, first off, THERE'S ONLY SO MANY IDIOTS IN THIS WORLD. Not everyone is gonna believe that this picture:

or this one

is yours if it appears in photobucket or google AT ALL. Don't waste your efforts trying to fool us. And if you're gonna name some company in Canada that you drew the pic for (yes, i'm pointing someone out) then i better be able to find the company website. At least make the effort of naming an actual company if you're gonna claim the art as yours (do these people even hire middle schoolers?). And if you are THE actual owner of the artwork, then i'm sorry. You'll have to create something entirely new that hasn't leaked out into the net ('tis a world of skeptics out there). Here's something that's funny:

YES people have submitted art that looks like it has come straight out of a manga you can find at Barnes and Noble (although i hope no one has ever submitted something this obvious). Some of them even have the copyright at the bottom right-hand corner.

Okay, to sum it all up:

1. Don't submit arwork that you can see all over the place.

2. If the artwork DOES belong to you, still don't bother submitting it. Create another. That way we actually know you have talent.

3. Don't submit a picture that obviously comes from a manga or something. We know what Kiyohiko Azuma and Masashi Kishimoto's art looks like. Fanfiction and fan-drawn pics are okay, of course, as long as we know the pic itself came from YOU.

Thank you and have a nice life
