Hearts of Grief
You find someone to love
Someone to care for
You feel happy and joyful and unstoppable
Nothing can get in your way
Not even a fierce beast with fiery eyes
You start to get used to your love and stop noticing them
They try to get your attention, but you don’t react
You start to wonder if this person is truly the right one
You feel a sensation of mixed feelings
You feel that you don’t want to lose them
You feel that you want someone new
Your love leaves you
You realize that maybe this person was the right one
You want them back
But they moved on breaking your heart in many pieces
Your heart grieves for them
And your love watches you with a heart grieving for you
What you both don’t realize that your hearts of grief are grieving for each other
