She walked outside slowly at this midnight hour with her arms wrapped tightly around herself trying to keep the winter air from taking effect. She was trying to find her way home but seemed to have forgotten the correct way.
As she moved on she looked up to the tall, leaveless trees and down to the vacant, iced over roads. She also noticed that none of the many lamps she knew were in the surrounding buildings showed any light with all the people that usually were awake. Everything was just plain silent. Intence silence that made her feel as if someone unknown was watching her, following her from behind, above, to the side, everywhere taking in her frightened form.
Something suddenly moved from the corner of her left eye. Looking back to find nothing she started scrunching up like a turtle, shivering. It moved again. She looked back in time to spot a glowing, flying object then quickly ran the opposite way.
Rounding the third corner she looked back and ended up running into a sharp metal object attached to the closest house and had her thin, tattered, so called jacket ripped from her body but she didnt care. All she wanted was to get away even if it meant to going back to that cold, lonely, solitude she was dying in just minutes before.
The wind picked up creating more goosebumps on her bare arms and the rest of her skin. She stopped to look back and saw nothing but swaying tree limbs and the beautiful night sky above. 'Maybe its gone,' she thought to herself too soon for when she turned around she found that little more than bite-sized being inches from her face. Wide-eyed, she didnt have a chance to scream before her vision became blank, her body became weak, and fell to the ground unconscious. Her last thoughts were, 'Who...hit me?'
