Today I have to go to orientation for my new job, working at Kings Dominion. Not cool, cause it's like an hour drive from where I live, and I always freak out at some point during the trip because I feel like I'm lost. I haven't gotten lost yet, though, which is a good thing.
Anyway, I'll be working food and beverages in the water park, which is kinda cool. I don't know exactly what I'll be doing, yet, and I don't know what their policy is about letting employees use the water park when they're not working, so I don't know if I'll be able to go swimming. I guess they'll tell me all that stuff today. On Tuesday I have to go back for training. Yipee. Well, at least I don't have to wear my uniform yet...which reminds me, I have to buy khaki pants and white/black leather shoes for work. Hopefully I'll do that sometime today or tomorrow.
Oh, and I did something a little stupid. I actually agreed to take other employees to and from work with me (if they live in my area), and while I understand that this is good because they'll help me pay for gas (they better), I don't really like to drive places with other people. I like being alone when I drive, it's much less distracting, plus I can listen to whatever music I like (and as loud as I like) without others complaining. Plus I can sing along. redface I guess I can do this with my sister...but she and I don't always see eye to eye on music. Don't get me wrong, a lot of our tastes are fairly similar, but she really likes country, while I sometimes prefer rap.
Whoa...we just got some Jehovah's witnesses at our door...weird. Okay, whatever.
