ah...the title mostly says it all!! I had to perform a short drama play on friday (june 1st) and boy, I was a nervous wreck I think. but luckily, it wasn't too bad since another group got to go before us, bwaahaaha!! rofl

oooh, ok so it was 3rd period and drama (which is my elective right now, hehe) was about to start! the chairs happened to be moved out of the way for some reason so we sat on the tiles. xd but then, the teacher just had to say, "Ok guys, we have 2 more groups still that need to perform."

GAH! that's when I knew that my group had to perform...! *sniff* well, our short play was basically about 2 travelers and a bear. the travelers were...traveling in the woods and one of them happened to hear a bear and climbed up the nearest tree. the other traveler though couldn't find a place to hide in time so he pretended to play dead.

the bear then came over and looked like he was whispering something into the traveler's ear. later, once the bear had left, the traveler in the tree came down and asked, "Hey, it looks like that bear whispered something to you. What did he say?"

the other traveler replied, "He told me to choose better friends for my next journey." and so, the moral of the story is: True friendship is tested in misfortune. or something like that, hehe~ xd and yes, this story is from Aesop's Fables, they're pretty good stories~! 3nodding

but we were also allowed to change our script but we just had to keep the moral of the story in there. so we changed our story to this:

Once upon a time in a magical forest, there lived a happy guy named Joe. He was always cheerful, but he was in shackles since he was arrested and that made him sad. Suddenly, Joe found a saw and sawed his shackles off. He still wanted a friend though, and that's when he saw Sherry (that was me xd ).

Sherry was a prissy little city girl who happened to be walking in the woods at that time. Joe then waved to her, she thought he was from a mental institution. Joe then walked over to Sherry to give her a hug when, she heard a noise.

a bear was coming!! "Hurry!!! Run sherry RUN!! We gotta escape the bear!!" so Joe and Sherry were running as fast as they could until Joe ran into a tree and fell on his back. Sherry quickly jumped on him to gain leverage and climbed up the tree.

knowing he was going to die, Joe played dead and hoped for the best. then...Arnold the bear came out and whispered something into Joe's ear. Sherry poked her head out and asked, "What did the bear say to you? It looked like he whispered something."

"He told me to choose better friends for my next journey!" Joe shouted up to Sherry.

"What?! I'm not your friend!!" and that's where Arnold the bear pulled poor Sherry down from the tree and ate her for lunch.

THE END~!! rofl

hehee, I found the play pretty fun to perform, but I was worried at first about how I would climb up the tree, which was a chair. Would I stand on it or sit...? gonk
but everything worked out pretty well!

we also had this paper arm that we threw out but we forgot to take it with us so the narrator threw it over the curtain and then we threw it out~ xd but yes, I had a lot of fun performing that play since, well my class liked the play and we got good feedback~ ^-^

and I have to say, drama sort of gave me the chance to get to know my classmates better. I mean, I barely talked to them in art, computers, and woodshop. But drama really allowed you to act and think up ideas together. 4laugh
