I've written and rewritten (and often then written again) so many "first entries".

First entries are the cornerstones of one's journal, and in my experiences can often set the tone for the entire thing.

This journal was used and neglected, rinse and repeat...I'm hoping that I'll be at least a little more loyal to it this time around. And the new features may help a little with that. I'm already rather fond of the fact that I can set individual entries to their own privacy level. I like to keep part of me public...I guess I idealize a bit, but I imagine that there's people who maybe think I'm pretty neat, and maybe want to know a bit more about me, and maybe -just maybe- decide that looking at my journal's the way to do so.

And it is. So much of me comes through in my writing. Small subtleties (can you see them?) reveal so much.


But that doesn't mean I want every stranger to see my innermost thought...and that's why such things were often kept out of my entries here in lieu of more frivolous ventures.


I digress.


So yes. Inside lay a fresh start in an old journal. Pieces of my life narrated in first person. Some things will still be superficial in nature, as well it should be (how sadly heavy would life be if everything were serious?), and some will be much deeper. And I can guess that there'll be a little in between. Some spiritual revelations and questions. Some rants and raves. Some admissions of love and hate.

Just the average person kind of stuff.

Only better. 'Cause it's about me. ;D
