Alrighty...My teacher has given me a goal to fulfill by the Fall Equinox. I need to find a few of the gods that call to me. At the moment, I am only sure of one god, and she's claimed me as hers since I was 12: Bast. Now...though I do pay respects to Anubis, since he is, in a way, Bast's opposite, none of the other neteru really call to me. Artemis, Greek Goddess of the Moon and Hunt, does attract me, but has not actually called me. So...rather than running about willy-nilly, I've decided to start my search in a 'simple' way: start with my roots. And my heritage as it stands is something like this: Japanese Irish Scottish English Italian French Lenni Lenape (Delaware Indian) So...with that list, I figured out I needed to start with the following religions: Shinto, the various Celtic and Gaelic religions, Roman, and Greek. I will try to find some info on my native American heritage, but that's going to be hardest of all, considering I live NOWHERE near the Lenape reservation. I live in Washington, for Goddess' sake! Now...the latter four religions in my list to research are easy to find information on. Shinto, on the other hand...I keep finding books, and not a single damned one is helpful beyond what I already know. So...if anyone can help me by sending me bits of info or sites or book titles they know of that are good Shinto resources, PLEASE let me know! Thank you much all!
