Yeah, I have decided to get rid of the writing itch that I have...Enjoy...


"1-4-3."

She read the strange note over again. It was weird, only having three letters, and no clue to what they meant. It looked as if someone was in a hurry when they wrote this because the numbers were smeared and she could hardly make out the four. She shrugged it off finally and threw the note in the waste can next to her bed. Standing, she dusted herself off and walked downstairs to find her mother reading the newspaper,
"Ma, anything important?" She asked opening up the fridge and grabbing the milk.
Her mother shook her head, "There was a killing on North Avenue, but that's not important. That's the bad side of town any way..."
"Who was it?"
"Just some random kid looking for trouble. It said he went to your school." Her mother replied looking up at her daughter that was reaching for a glass.
"Really now? Did they give out a name or anything?"
"Nope. It says 'Name is disclosed till further notice'."
"Well, Ma...I hope I didn't know the poor kid then. I guess school's going to be hell today."
"It's only as bad as you make it, sweetie."
"Thanks mom." She said as she grabbed her things as was out the door in a flash.

She was right. School was hell, but not because of the death...It was because she was seeing the numbers all over again. She had reached her locker and carved into the door was the numbers, '1-4-3'. She began to freak. Opening her locker and taking out her books, she noticed another note sitting ontop of her AP English book. Grabbing the note and hearing the bell, she slammed her locker and rushed to her first class.
