Tonight (technically last night, I guess...since it's like, 4 something in the morning), Angel, Kaci, Bethany (Kaci's little sister), and myself went to the True Colours concert.
Dresden Dolls played first (yaaay! <33). They were awesome, as to be expected, though their set was regrettably short.
Debbie Harry (Blondie) was...disappointing. Which made me sad, 'cause I've always been a fan of hers. D:
Erasure was fantastic! I had no idea they put on such a great show~ <33
Cyndi Lauper was so cute and had so much damn energy! XD I love her.
Margaret Cho hosted, and Rosie O'Donnell was there too. I'm not a Rosie fan, but they were both extremely entertaining. I about died laughing. <3333
I had so much fun, decked out in my rainbows and beads and flashing light necklace and whatnot. It was beautiful to see so many couple...gay, lesbian, straight, and everything in between...walking around freely, with no animosity from anyone else. I kept thinking, that's how it should be everywhere.
And that was the theme - Erase Hate.
They played this video.
Go watch it. And then fill out the form and send it. Speak up.
Why do we still live in a world where people can honestly hate someone for who they love? I really don't understand it. Not at all. How can anyone have so much hatred in their hearts to do such horrible things?
Love is beautiful. Hate is not.
It's as simple as that.
