"Changes... They happen to every girl... As you grow older you worry if your hair is too straight or too curly, and you need to keep that hair lucious, soft, and shiny... You want your body to be skinny like those girls on the magazines, so you go on a diet, vegetables and fruits... You want to be the most popular person in school, and want the cutest boy in the school as your boyfriend...." That's what Granny told me, but then I replied back ...
"What if I don't want to change? What if I want my hair to get dirty while rolling in the mud.... What if I don't want to be really skinny, I'll eat cake and muffins and chocolate and any kind of food I want to eat... And what if I want to be a nerd the rest of my life?"
Granny smiled and said... "That's my little rebel..."
Well years passed ever since I said that... I was 6 years old... Granny was right, every girl does change their act... But not me, I'm still eating whatever I want to, I still get my hair dirty once in awhile, and I'm still a nerd!!! I hope Granny is watching me up there and smiling, and saying to herself ...
"She's still my little rebel, always will..."
