chappy 3 Ton's gift
Zi work with a start. Some had drop-ped something and from the sounds of it fairly close to the bed she was in. She work in confusion, this isn't my room where am I. She slowly came to relaize that it was in Ton's room.She sat up in the bed and looked toward the oragins of the sound. Ton's mother had dropped a very old china tea kettle and it had crashed sending shards of china all cross the room. she was also rushing to pick up the peices when Zi heard foot steps. Ton came walking up behind his mother.
"Mum, why don't you get a maid to do this? And you go get cleaned up?." Ton's mother stopped cleaning and nodded as she walked away. "Good morning Zi. Hope you slept well." He said softly as he stepped around the broken china and to her side. He sat next to her on the bed and wrapped a arm around her shoulders.
" i should go. I should of left last night, I'm so sorry." Zi pulled and grabed her belongings and started to leave when she felt a hand encricle her wrist. Ton let go of my wrist now! she screamed in her head although she knew told heard her. he didnt listen though instead he pulled her onto his lap and held her. Thoughts from the previous nights came flooding back to her in a wave of anguish, She cried again for what felt like the millionth time, she sat and cried on Ton's shoulder. He started to cry with her only slightly. They both drifted into a daze.
Ton was a fireshin, a race simpilar to humans although they are born with fire in thier blood. Ton also had a speacil abilty one that rarely comes to a fireshin. It was considered a blessing form the gods if a baby was born with this ablity. It meant good fortune and wisdom would would come to the child when it is due. Acroding to legand this child would do great things for the fireshin and all ither races. The gift of open ear and eyes. The gift of open ears and mouth alowed the child to not only hear every thought that it wished too but to gain, and give wisdom too all that need it there fore the child was seen as an oracle and a prodage. The gift of open eyes alowed the child to see with the heart and not the baised eyes, this gift alowed the child to see things that nongifted ones cant. things such as angels,demons, and into another preson's heart.
Although Ton did not veiw it as a blessing but instead as a curse. Ever sence he was younger people treated him differently because of the gift. Other childern were told not to wear him out so most evoided him. Adults were constantly asking him for answers to their own problens in thier lives. No one every seemed to care what Ton wanted or what he felt. He hated it one day when he was 8 years of age he left his village and faimly to find a new life. He left in the middle of the night and walked 3 days untill he found Zi in a forrest.They had made quick friends and Zi brought him to the village of Farnamn. Here Ton found a faimly that were friends of his really parents they took him in. they did not treat him diffently like the old villagers did. He soon grew to love them as though they were his own parents. Every day from then on Zi and Ton would go to a clearing and play. When Ton turned ten he was taught in the way of the sword, as well as archery. Every day after his lesson he would go to the clearing and teach Zi what he had learned. they both practiced everyday from then on.
