drip, drip, drip
The water out side was running down the curtain covered windows. Kiri pushed the curtain aside and looked out the window. She sighed, wanting the the rain to stop. Her house was as deathly quiet and dark as it always was. Her parents died and her older sister was never home until one in the morning, but then she would leave an hour before Kiri woke up. The little black cat that crawled in the crack in the door, walked in. He curled up on Kiri's lap, but Kiri was annoyed at the moment and shooed him away. She stood up and started to walk to the kitchen, when she heard a loud raping sound from on top of the roof.

drip, drip, drip
Kiri then saw a flash of black hair run across the window with the open curtains. With panic. She ran to the window and opened it with a creak. Nobody was there. She closed her window ans ran to the front door. Kiri put on her shoes, rain coat, grabbed an umbrella. With it still raining heavily, she walked out to find out who owned the black hair. As she made her way around the corner to the ally way, she felt a chill down her body. At the end of the ally, was a man with black hair. His left arm was held his side to try to keep the blood from lipping out, while his right arm held onto the trash can for support.

drip, drip, drip
Kiri inched closer to help him. When she was close enough to to hear how hard he was breathing, she reached out her hand to help. But as soon as she touched him, he fell forward and fainted. "Oh my goodness" she said as he fell. She caught him just in time before he hit the ground. Because he was bigger than she was, when she carried him back to the house Kiri had to take a brake. As she laid him on the couch, he began to move a little but was still pretty much out like a light. She left him laying there to take off her jacket, and fetch a warm towel for his wound. When she came back to treat him he was not where she laid him. In her panic she dropped the bowl creating a crashing sound in her dark, lonely house.

drip, drip, drip

to be continued ....
