Fear… it makes a cloud in the mind so that a running, hiding, staying silent seem so right, seem essential. How long have I held my words because I am afraid?

Justice should be a good thing. It should be impartial and used to stop people from harming others so that all people have the chance to live and grow, to worship as they see fit, find love, give love, raise their children, enjoy their lives, and live. Justice should be the shining light by which we all accept and see the laws which help us all share this planet we live on.

Justice and law should not be used as a shield to protect those bend the very laws they hide behind. Justice should not be used to enable war or prejudice or laws that promote one god over another.

All of us wish for the same things. To have air, food, water, warmth, individuality so that we may express ourselves and be loved for ourselves, these are all things which in a just world, we could all have. If we chose to express ourselves by following a particular faith, then that is our choice.

If we are honest about what attracts us to another, then this should be a virtue. Truth and Justices are close cousins.

If we are brave enough to negotiate and work towards a sustainable future for all this should be a virtue. Courage and Justice are siblings.

The United States of America should not be run by those whose idea of wealth and religion are able to consume others. We are nation of the brave and honest, of the free who chose justice for all.

Would it not be a beautiful world where law, equality, truth, respect, and freedom were virtues stronger than craven greed and ignorance?

Choose truth.
Choose respect.
Choose freedom.
