I know that it sounds weird but to me it sounds like he really cares about you. But you are right in saying that you already have a father, I guess what he is trying to do is not let you go to that side of yourself that you had when you first came to visit....
People try to find a way to show you that they love you, they try to find a right way to protect you. Sometimes they don't know if their right way is truly the way you want it....
there is just a couple of days left so just hold on just a little more.
