Because my mother is cheap, when I gave her the link to the Holiday Inn that's right across from the LACC (which is now booking reservations for July 200 cool , she found and booked a room at a different hotel, Quality Inn & Suites, which is a mile away from the LACC, and costs a hundred dollars less per night. Completely understandable, but still, it would have been cool to have been able to just walk across the street to get to my hotel, especially when it comes to night time.
I might have to learn how to use cab services, unless I find someone I know who is also staying at the Quality Inn to drive me/walk with me to AX08. D: Which seems unlikely, because apparently there are only one or two rooms left in the whole hotel! Already! gonk WOE!
EDIT: Apparently there's a Cheesecake Factory nearby... this is a plus.
But still. D: I'd really like it if there were people I knew at my hotel! I wonder if all the people who have already booked up the place are people going to AX?
EDIT EDIT: If I'm going to take the bus, I want line 28. There's a stop about a block away from my hotel at Hoover & Olympic. There is 24-hour service, but it looks like late at night it only comes once an hour (on the 48th minute).
Whatever, anyway, it shouldn't be too hard to plan my day around the bus schedule later on, if I do get to go alone, and if it turns out no one I know is at my hotel. B:
