So I'm sure by now everyone has heard of the new Moderator Selection. I was so disappointed when it said that you had to be over eighteen. I guess it's what's best, though. Older users should get top priority. I mean, that's why resturants always give senior discounts, right?
Still, while I admit my little Gaian heart was bruised a little, I look forward to when I finally turn eighteen. I've been a member of Gaia since 2004, and I'm sure those three extra years will do good for me maturity-wise.
I've been here a long time, and experienced many (if not all) of the aspects of the forums, games, and community.
In late 04, I was scarred by a user in the Exchange who harrassed me to wits end about how noobish I looked. I wasn't insulted, but intimidated. But I didn't let it get to me, oh no. I became obsessed with creating new ways to make my avatar flow together and got a lot of "street cred" in the AT. xd
I used to post a lot in the Chatterbox and had many successful and friendly chat threads. I've also been in more than 30+ guilds, all of which remained active for quite awhile. The GD also housed me for a bit when I needed a good laugh, and I've made some unforgettable friends there as well. The GCD supplied me with all the knowledge of Gaia I could ever need. While the theories there still scare me a little, ( sweatdrop ), I really enjoy being able to talk about my pixelated home with other Gaia enthusiasts.
