This is my short bit over racism, the beginning is to show my background so you can better underdstand where and what i mean.
I Was born in holland of a white mother and a black father.
There i was a little mixed baby , half black , half white.
When i was 2 or so my familly moved from holland to a small island in the caribbean ocean. St Maarten.
And there i spent 16 years of my life, living and learning.
There i was surrounded by white , black , and mixed people.
I studied and graduated and to further my studies i had to go abroad.
Today is the 4th of august and it has been 1year and 3 days since i left my home.
I graduated from highschool and i am now following a "higher education" in holland.
I've been staying at my aunts house until i can find a place, but it has been hard.
Not just to find a place, but also the mental and emotional strain.
The one big problem i have encountered here is Racism. Not the racism where African Americans are chained in shackles, but what i call " Silent racism.
Racism where people are not stoned or beaten, but where they are avoided and excluded.
