[Warning: contains ranting] Ok, normally where I work, sundays are quite quiet, until around 11:00pm, when the bars close and the drunks come flooding in. Today however, we get some toss pot calling, claiming that half of his order was missing when it was delivered to him last week which was paid by card. When we asked what he ordered, it was already beging to sound strange since there were a load of items mentioned that we didn't even sell. What's more, the person lives in an area where we don't deliver. After much argument and bullshit story changing (now claiming that it was his wife who ordered on a monday instead of himself on a friday), and threatening to shut us down, it was time to bring in the trump cards: Our driver who incidently worked last monday and sunday to prove that we don't deliver there and to claim any records of having delivered to that area.
We even asked for the card recipt code for refernce. He was reluctant to give it to us...(hmm...I belive someone is lieing...)
So, in the end, there were quite a few hints that gave away the fact that he was bullshiting to get a free order delivered to him: ) First, we have NEVER had half an order missing (considering the item total claimed was 8, meaning 4 items were missing) ) Part of that order didn't even exist on our menu ) Considering the order was over a week ago and that a large amout of the order was missing, isn't it logical that one would call on the day rather than a week later? Now, later then claims it was on a monday instead of a sunday (now if this were serious, he'd remember what day it actually was). ) We had no records of having delivered to that adress in the past month (it is beyond our delivery range).
"The cards have been played, you've gambled and lost!"
