I saw her a few days ago. She was on her porch. As I drove by, she stood up, my heart raced, was she going to smile at me?, wave?, run across the yard towards me?, none of those. As she stood up, she turned around and all I could see as I drove by was her back. What have I done so terrible in my life to deserve this? Maybe it is something I did in a former life, but it hurts. What I would give to see her again, hold her in my arms, kiss her, feel her breath on my face, her heart beating against my chest. What I would give for answers!! Why is she gone? So close, yet a world away.
