Now, I hate to sound materialistic, but on Gaia, items make the world go round. Well, actually pixelated representations of items do, but you get the idea. With out items, we'd be naked, and we'd have gold with nothing to use it on, and Gaia would be incredibly Dull. Seriously, no amount of plot can make me click a button every three minutes for no possible rewards. Seriously, even sponsor items make life on Gaia a bit more interesting.

But what about making the items more interesting?

Here's what I mean. Suppose you had a Jukebox. Now, Jukeboxes look cool, but you can't really have a record hop with them. So why not make it play music? I mean, surely you can find music. It would be like the Cabana Banana, or the Snack Bar, just put in some gold and pick a tune. And the old towns music is replaced by a cool techno beat. Good use for glowsticks too. I can see it now, chilling in towns, having a lightswitch rave. Maybe you could adapt it to MP3 players too.

Or perhaps a working TV. Want to watch MMVIII: Electric Boogaloo in towns? Just click the TV and a little window would pop up with the clip.

And that's not all, Tan-Bots for your houses and guild halls. Just click on it and they'll give you options like access to your inventory, ability to edit layouts via towns, and to check and send messages.

Or perhaps spells and enchantments. Just pay Ray and Morgana a visit at the magic shoppe to pick up a few spell scrolls. These range from emotes and effects for the toy bag, to somewhat humorous enchantments and curses. "Curse of the lolcat" "Spellcheck" "Ur Face asplode" and several other ones. For Curses on other people, only a few (such as spellcheck) would work in forums. Having people talk like lolcats would be annoying.

Other spells though, like self transfiguration (similar to the Summoning Tome) , and elemental effects would be quite interesting though.
One spell I'd love to cast would be one that could alter your body type while it was under effect. Though the downside is that your clothing choices would be limited to certain items. (Like, if you cast a Big and Tall Spell, you might be able to wear items drawn for that body type, but you could change back by dispelling the spell.)
Spells that granted skins would be cool too. Still, it's a lot of work.

Oh well, it's really interesting anyway. Maybe some day I'll see it. XD
