Is it really such a task to appreciate the lowly workers? The employees that bear the grunt-work so that you don't have to. We are the legs you stand on, and yet you offer us only threats and small paychecks.
I have never met my district manager. And I may never meet him. Why? Because I'm not important.
Now, I accept the fact that I work at GameStop as a GA. That means I'm the lowest on the totem pole. I get it.
But I do work hard. I put in effort, and have been since I was hired, only to find that my hours seem to vanish, taking my pacheck with them.
And that's why I've taken a second job over at Smoothie King. Yeah, it doesn't sound much better in theory, but it actually is. MUCH better hours, better pay, and just a generally better atmosphere. And you can't beat free smoothies. And, if I work hard, and I work well, and I'm patient, I actually have some hope of getting rewarded for that. Whereas with GameStop, my only hope is for Courtney to become Store Manager so that she can help get me promoted a bit...which won't happen because s**t-sucking assholes are going to snag the position out from under her.
I'll really be surprised if I stay at GameStop much longer.
On a completely different and positive note, I've picked out Ky's daycare. She'll be starting school next week. I'll take pictures. :B ...I don't know when I'll get them uploaded, seeing as my computer sucks, but...I'll take pictures anyway.
