A young girl looked to her lord with a worried eye, for he had been looking toward the moon for quite some time. She began to wonder what may be bothering him, but her mind led her astray and many memories soon came to mind.
She then thought of her mother, father and her brother, but then a more painful memory came to the forefront of her mind through the darkness: their murder.
Noticing that the young girl looked quite bothered, her lord began to keep a watchful eye on her.
Soon after she began to look at the moon as well and thought of the only thing that would clear her mind: her lord and all that he had done for her. With that calming memory in mind, she began to smile and then asked him a question, “Lord Sesshomaru, after I die, will you forget me?”
With a surprised look on his face, he merely said, “Do not say such silly things, Rin,” and he once again looked toward the moon.
With that said, she smiled, for she was glad to hear the answer that he had given.
And as she stood next to her lord, she now knew that she would never leave his side. This is because she felt that he would always be there for her, just as she would be there for her guardian, Lord Sesshomaru.
