I sit on the salty rocks of this tired beach and I allow my bare feet to dangle and skim the ocean's surface. I inhale only polluted breeze from a nearby airport but its home. This pleasantville is slowly disintegrating and has left it's streets brittle and cracked. These mouth-less roads are dying and they stay silent about the humanity that has walked its body in past lives. These temporary waves are crashing, and splashing mists of cold water onto my face. I'm staring out into a white sky dreaming of you next to me. Holding my hand and wiping my many tears. This ocean misses you, and for you I wave the tide hello. I miss your heartbeat and your smile that makes the pit of my stomach finally feel. Off of my face, a tear slips into the ocean, disrupting my liquid reflection. I am weightless but broken.
