Well I finally got the second game. It's been like two years I've waited to get it for some reason the price never went down though it has been on clearance past couple of months.
Well I played through it well mostly... I somewhat cheated sweatdrop I got to the very end killed the boss before the final boss and just decided screw it I want to see that ending now. xp
The final boss didn't seem that hard but I just got a bit lazy and I have a feeling the boss right before was much more tough anyways... that boss was a b***h lol
I still plan to complete the game but I ended up taking a short break from it since I was playing Obscure 2.
I'm glad I finally got around to playing the second half of Digital Devil Saga though it was worth playing. I really enjoyed the type of story it had. The game is ******** sad though o_o and I was surprised by a lot of the s**t that ended up happening. I really liked how uniqe all the characters were they all had such different distinct personalities. My favorite characters were Argilla, Gale and Serph.
Serph(the main character) I liked a lot because he was really easy for me to feel like I was him. He was a silent protagonist which doesn't really bother me I'm usually relatively quite anyways plus he had the element of water which I really liked because thats ******** rare to see for a main character. All their elements really fit as well.
Argilla was just the nice one and she was very easy to relate to. I seem to have a big soft spot for nice people. She had a very feminine type of personality but not really in a girlish way which I also really liked because it was a nice change compared to many other female characters. She seemed to get along well with Serph and I'd say it would be about the same if I was in that type of setting I really like Earth type people but it's nice to see one in game thats not some giant overly strong stupid guy that just uses a huge axe or something.
Gale was very logical and I think intelligence is something of great value. His composture was always very calm but focused and I liked seeing more of him in the second game since he is somewhat minor in the first game. He was very unemotional to kind of an extreme but that was just another strong contrast to the other characters. Even though he didn't really make any expressions often I just liked the way he looked mostly his face.
I didn't really like Heat but I am still really glad he was in the game and was the way he was. I just know that I would hate him if I met him. Still he really fit in.
Cielo I didn't exactly like either but thats mostly because he was slightly annoying but not to bad. He was also the most minor character out of all of them which was a good thing since he was really just comic relief. In fact very little was explained about him... o.o oh well. xd
Good game though I'd say it's probably about my second favorite story for a game so far. The game was hardly very traditional or stereotypical in a lot of ways. It was a high quality game and the voice acting was actually rather decent which did really help. The game takes awhile to get through mostly just because of long dungeons which I don't really care for but meh the storys worth it for me.
I've been playing a lot of video games recently but it's fun. I already played through Persona 3 awhile ago which was pretty cool. I guess next I am playing Devil May Cry 3 surprisingly o.o since I'm borrowing it. Next RPG I think I'll go for though will probably be Nocturne or Devil Summoner but I'm not sure. For now I'll just keep playing Obscure and start on DMC3
