Of Going, and Of Curiousity of Cats
Of Going...
Rose's view

Rose went with Wynn, and had to catch ahold of a railing as the ship lurched suddenly.

"So, what exactly do I have to do?" Rose asked Wynn, as she regained her balance. "And where are we going?"

As Wynn led her to the command deck, she said simply. "We are going to clear the sky ahead of us. Taran will keep the rear clear."

Rose nodded at the simple explaination, and when they got to the command deck, Wynn pointed to some controls. Rose stood in front of the panel, with Wynn next to her. Looking over, she could see Taran was already standing just off to the side of Wynn.

Wynn started to give Rose information on the use of the cannons, and the rest of the onboard weapons, even when they were lurched about by the ship suddenly leaving the slipstream.

Taran's view

The ship lurched a bit, and Taran knew they had just caught a slipstream. He was already almost at the command deck, having headed there before the girls. There was a lot of turbulance, but he got to the command deck and it didn't take him long to find the defense control panel. The ship lurched suddenly, just after Rose and Wynn came in. They were now out of the slipstream.

Without wasting a second, Taran started scanning for enemy ships. He wasn't about to let this mission fail.

Of the Curiousity of Cats

Niko nodded to the ORLY and turned to address Kaida.

"I'm Niko, Rose's coco, and these are Tuli and Jaa. They are... well, they are more like allies of Taran and Rose." Niko paused, and looked over to where a coco and a kiki were playing with chemicals.

"Dragon sent us to help Ikkit and Tikki, if we can." Niko added. Niko glanced back at Tuli and Jaa, starting to wonder why they were so silent, especially in front of another gwee!

Tuli and Jaa, who would have usually made their thoughts vocal by now, were instead staring intently at the ORLY, trying to understand it's language. Reading it's mind, however, was not helping, as it simply kept repeating 'ORLY', no matter what they asked it. They were, for the moment at least, oblivious to everything else.

A moment later, the ship lurched horribly, and though the gwees (being flying creatures) weren't bothered by it, Niko had to dig her claws into the ground to keep from being flung about.

Ah yes, translating the mind of a hat is incredibly difficult. If hats even have minds.

*notes there's technically no sitting in Command* *even the pilot's chair is more standing than anything else--it's got a back rest to lean against since the pilot's got more to worry about than the other stations* *also notes that the particular science deck the others are on has its own grav field that can accommodate for any kind of entering and exiting of slip portals*
