Jewels, Amulets, and Half Breeds
Summary: A new hanyou enters the group. The new hanyou is able to sense the sacred jewel shards in a more serious sense than Kagome and is super powerful to boot. We begin with the hanyou’s adventure before they all meet.
Disclaimer: I don’t own Inuyasha for one. And also, if you’re confused or I used a wrong Japanese word, let me know. Also, hanyou is half demon, youkai is demon, and miko is human. I’ll probably mostly use the following Japanese words: youkai, hanyou, and Osuwari. Osuwari is Kagome’s real word.

Chapter 1: Enter Kimika, hanyou
Here we see a beautiful hanyou caught in some trouble all because of a jewel. Her hair is brown, very rare in Japan of this era. Her eyes are pink, resembling her youkai mother. Dog ears perk from the top of her head, much like the hanyou we already know. Only these are black with white tips. Her clothing often resembles that of a wealthy princess. Purely, a beautiful white kimono with touches of blue and green. Shoes are simply sandals like those anyone wears. This is Kimika, the wolf hanyou.
Kimika ran through the forest, sweat dripping down her face. The vicious youkai was pursuing the jewel shards she recently acquired from a servant of Naraku. The careless fool didn’t even come after her. Unless… Could this youkai have also been sent by Naraku? No. That’s impossible. Well, anyways, she was being pursued none the less. She glanced behind her once more, sending poison spikes at the youkai.
“That should hold him off.” She said, continuing to a safe clearing she had seen. There were also more jewel shards there. A few of them in fact. She also smelled a strange scent. Something unlike this area, this time even. Kimika reached a nearby tree, jumping to the tip top. She looked around, seeing the youkai from behind.
SWOOSH
She sent her youkai sword at the youkai, killing it. Kimika now sensed the shards coming near her. Only now, she sensed immense spiritual power. “This shall prove challenging.” She muttered, jumping down so that her opponent could see her. A shock then came upon her. Fumika gasped. These opponents were different in some strange way. “One of them… One of them seems to be a powerful youkai.” She said.
Just then, Inuyasha, Kagome, Shippou, Miroku, Sango, and Kirara appeared from the darkness of the brush. Kagome stepped down, whispering something in Inuyasha’s ear. Just as she backed off, Inuyasha nodded, standing battle ready.
“Alright you filthy youkai, give us the shards and I won’t have to kill you.” Inuyasha growled.
“First of all, I’m a hanyou. Though my power does suit that of a youkai. Second, who are you to demand such things of me? I got this jewel shard from a servant of Naraku.” She said, sounding very high and mighty.
“Naraku?” Kagome burst out, “You… You know where Naraku is?”
“Kagome!” Inuyasha complained. He absolutely hated it when Kagome burst in.
“Of course I know where that pathetic excuse for a youkai is. He practically shows himself to me.” Kimika said, placing one hand on her hip.
Kagome stepped forward. “How does he show himself to you?” she asked.
“It’s those shards. They make it absolutely effortless to find him.” She said. Kimika was now looking over Kagome. “Oh! I see now. You’re a priestess. Can you see the shards as well?” she said, now very close to Kagome.
“Um… Well... Inuyasha.” Kagome muttered.
Inuyasha stepped forward, now directly in Kimika’s face. He gave her a sinister look as if saying she was basically no better than a piece of rubbish. “Why do you want to know so much about us?” he said. As Inuyasha stepped back from his attitude, he saw Kimika now sniffing his kimono. He jumped backward, Kagome in his arm. “Now what?” he said, frustrated with her infuriating ways.
“Ha!” Kimika laughed. She placed herself on a low branch of a tree. She smiled menacingly at the group. “What a pathetic group we have here.” She said, jumping back to the ground. As she listed thoughts, she passed each member of the group. “A young monk… A ni…. No… A youkai slayer… A priestess with a weak ability to sense shards…. And most pathetic of all, a hanyou.” She said. Once she described Inuyasha, she jumped back to a tree, ready to head off.
“Why you!” Inuyasha growled. He balled his hand into a taut fist; his teeth were clenched tightly together.
“You… You are not worth my time.” She said. Kimika jumped to the next tree, stopping and looking behind her. “Wait a minute.” She said. Kimika looked at the group as they were beginning to head off, the hanyou practically being forced by the priestess. These people... Are they really? She thought. Kimika ran after them, hopping in front of them. “Wait. Are you Inuyasha and Kagome?” she asked, now seeming nicer than before.
Inuyasha stood straight. “Yeah. What’s it to ya?” he growled.
“Does that mean you are the group that is also seeking Naraku? The group that almost always comes close to beating him?” she questioned.
“Yeah.” Shippou said, jumping on Inuyasha’s shoulder to get a better look at the girl.
“Oh…” Kimika said. She now dropped to her knees in front of Inuyasha and Kagome. The group stared at Kimika, confused. “Please forgive me!” she pleaded.
Inuyasha stepped back. “Uh….huh?” he said.
“What’s with the sudden acts of forgiveness?” Sango asked, confused even more.
Kimika now sat on her knees. Her head still hung low. “I have always been told of your great power. How Inuyasha’s need to protect his beloved Kagome gives him immense power; how Sango’s need to avenge her village and save her brother do the same; and how Kagome and Miroku’s spiritual abilities give them certain powers. I just had no idea it was you.” She said.
“BELOVED?!?” Inuyasha questioned, not sure where that came from.

Kimika: How about we tell them how I came to be?
Lizzy: Alright! Everyone, meet my anime self…. (drum roll) KIMIKA!!!!
Kimika: (bowing) Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I’m glad to be here!
Lizzy: Someone’s full of themselves!
Inuyasha: How come you made her so evil?
Kagome: Inuyasha, don’t judge a book by its cover. Remember how evil you seemed to me when we first met?
Inuyasha: Yeah… so?
Kagome: Never mind! Alright, see you next chapter!!
