TEEN LIFE
When people say "teens are lucky"
I thought they were being sarcastic.
Its not really all that fantastic
I'll laugh in their face
Kuz They just don’t see how much we hate
Or How often we break
Or know how much we really have to say
Do they think were just living to get laid?
It just doesn't exactly work that way
Because the pain we go through everyday,
Its so different from yesterday.
Its just Teen life.
Peers and jeers.
Pain and tears.
Only in your high school years
You think your in love
And that he's the only one you ever want
And he likes someone too
Secretly it may be you
another lion of the savannah comes by
Perfect hair, perfect life.
And now he has his prey.
Deep down she's a demon inside.
Their love don’t really last for long
It Must feel wrong
Its just Teen life.
getting called "freak" like its your name
Because The clothes you wear are filled with tears
You love ripped jeans
Chains and screams.
Your I pod's listed with every band
They just don’t seem to understand
Its something you express,
its how you dress,
This life's all just a mess.
Its just Teen life
The girl that laughs and smile's everyday
Gets beaten and hit in everyway
She says the bruises come from fall's
But when they see the blood on the wall
Her friends know she lost it all.
She never made that one last call
Now her boyfriend is now dead as well
Living without his girl left him in hell
Grave's sitting side by side
Romeo and Juliette will never survive.
Its just Teen life
Your friends all drink
They just learned to drive
One day they say you should try
Now and innocent girl is left alone and scared
Her mom is dead
Inside, your filled with dread.
The bars of jail symbolize your pain
Getting locked up everyday
Your heart is the darkest prison,
Its one you cant get out.
The pain you left her leaves you in doubt
you feel like your tears would stop a drought
And now you’re the one without

You see a group all dressed a certain way
It’s a gang
One has a gun, one has a knife
Its their only way of life.
They say they'll accept you
They say they wont hurt you.
But You have to get beat up
To see if your tough
They all play rough
Its just too much
They think it isn't enough
Their making sure that you wont break
The strong ones they can only take
If you don't make it
They don’t accept
they just betray
And now your forced to turn away
They would've shot you anyway
Its just teen life
Your only friend is your calculator
You need to pass
You need the grade
Because College is the only thing
You get B's and A's
You need braces to cover your buck teeth
Your shirt is tucked underneath
You wear glasses that seem to big for your face
The stress of life gives you pimples that wont go away
Beauty- yeah right, just low self esteem
Getting called ugly- just giving up on your dream
The one you like
Thinks you might bite
You fake a smile
So you wont cry
Don’t worry kid,
