<center>As most of you know, my good friend...almost sister, is up here from Georgia. Well, those of you who've known me awhile know that Jessica's mother is a drunken b***h and that her father is fighting for custody of her.
Two days ago, her mother got served the court papers, ensuring her loss of Jessica.
They began fighting and Jessica told her mother that she was coming to my house, and so she did.
Her mother knew and it was all fine.
Then, today, her mother called again to see when she'd be home. Jessica told her that she'd perfer to not come home. Her mom didn't seem to care and proceeded to work.
One of Jessica's friends called our house because they wanted to do something with her and couldn't find her. The two of them decided to go down to the park for a few hours.
Well, about 20 minutes before they were due home, Jessica calls my mother and says "Come get us now, my mother is threatening to call me in as a run-away. I don't want Scott (her friend) involved."
So, my mom goes to the park and gets the both of them, takes him home, and then, when we're on the way home, we see a cop go by towards the park. Turns out that he was supposed to be getting Jessica.
When he didn't find her at the park, he contacted her mother who sent him to her grandparents, then here.
He gets here and talks to Jessica and her mother over a phone. He explained to Jessica that she was indeed a run-away according to her mother's report and that because her mother still had custody, Jessica had to do what she wanted.
The officer stated that he felt Jessica had a good spot here and told her mother that Jess said she KNEW that she was at my house.
Well, her mom denied that and told the officer to bring Jessica home.
She immediately started crying and the officer told her that he either had to take her to her mother or put her in a juvinile deliquent home.
She looked that man in the eyes and said that she'd rather go to a home than back to her mother. v.v;
So she went inside and got her stuff, and I just sat there. I just sat there on the steps and watched him take her away as tears fell down her cheeks. I tried not to cry, but to see someone you've known for 14 years dragged away to a house their terrified of and know that you can't do anything about it...
It's a horrid feeling. You feel like a bad friend, like a horrible person...like you're helpless, but most of all, you can't understand how the law can send them back to that place.
She can't run off without telling her mom where she'll be, 'else she can ruin every hope of ever being in her dad's house. I'm afraid that she'll try it. v.v;
So I spent a half hour crying because I knew she was just going to run off like she always does. I called Sam in tears just to take my mind off it.
Her mother wouldn't even reason with the officer. She's doing everything just to spite Jessica's father, and it is not fair. I still feel bad and wish so much that I could take her out of that house, but I can't.
I'm sorry for those of you I just kind of, left hanging. I didn't mean to leave like that. Sorry.

My dad's filing a divorce against my mom soon, and only the 2 of us know; She's crazy >.>
