Character Profile
The shouting. It was ringing in the child’s ears. People were running, screaming. There was fire. She couldn’t see in the darkness – it was the dead of night. Then she felt a hand clutching hers. “Run, Trix.” That was her father’s voice. And she ran. She ran for her life, clutching onto her father’s hand. Trix remembered little about that nigh. Just the shouting, the fire, her fathers hand. And her mother’s voice. Calling her name in the darkness. That was the Idle de Gambino, but before
it had that name. That was the night the night when Gambino’s forces came and took it. And that was the night Trix left. Her home. The place she’d grown up. They took a boat and escaped with there lives. Trix doesn’t know what happened to her family.

They docked at the Port de Gambino and made their way to Barton Town. For a long time they lived off the streets, begging and eating what they could.
Eventually, Red, Trix’s father got a job shelf-stacking at the Barton Boutique. Not that Ian really needed a shelf stacker. But he took pity on the pair of them. A good man, that Ian. It wasn’t brilliant pay, but it was enough, and the two of them got a small apartment in Barton. Trix began to see more of this life. She had grown up in tribal surroundings, now she was facing the modern world. And she liked it. She
began to visit the forum, and the guilds, and the shops. She began to buy more clothes, not much, but still. They continued to live this way, until, one day, everything changed.

Trix had always loved singing and dancing and she had a great voice. And she for scouted. For a band, G club Juniors. The money that came in was far, far more than she and Red had had before. They got a better house, more things, better things. A better life. But it didn’t last. The band split up and three of the members, Trix included, formed the band Child’s Destiny. But that didn’t last even a year. And
Trix and Red had been careless with money. They lost everything. It was then that Trix decided that she couldn’t rely Red anymore. She had to look after herself. She was twelve years old. From that time, she worked at anything she could. She sung in bars and clubs, she worked as a journalist, as a special investigator, as anything
she could. She thought she could live that way forever. But this was Gaia. And things don’t go according to plan.

It was Trix’s first Halloween. The first one she’s celebrated. She was dressed as a Wiccan. That was when the grunnies came. G-corp’s creatures attacked. Trix fought. She fought with all might. She didn’t become a grombie. But many weren’t so lucky. Trix watched many people around her transform into the creatures. And she was afraid. Very afraid. Little did she know that she could fight the grunnies again. Fight for the life of her child.

Something else happened that Halloween. She met him.Jack. Like many Gaians,
she went Trix or Treating. And, like many Gaians, she took her candy to Jack.
But she didn’t meet the Jack that most Gaians meet. Well, she met him, but, she met another Jack too. A boy. A poor, lost, lonely boy trapped within this creature. Trix did not know why she saw him when no other Gaian did. But she saw him. And that was when, for the first time, Trix Starlight fell in love. But how could she ever be with him? This boy within a creature that only ever came once a year. The next Halloween, she went to Jack, but met only the monster, not the boy. Non the less,
Trix now goes to be with Jack every Halloween. He calls her his little fairy. Though she never sees the boy again, she goes to be with the monster to, in some way, be with him.

The child was small with pale skin, and sandy brown hair. “Trix.” Said Red. “This is Ima.” The child was about eight years old, and perfectly ordinary looking, except for something strange on each of her cheeks. Gills. Apparently this child had found Red, and was the child of Trix’s mother, and another man, a merman. It was strange hearing her father talk about her mother – he hardly ever spoke of her. Trix took Ima in to live with her. But Trix’s relatives would not stop popping up all over the place! Trix was met by two girls, one about her age with black hair and one younger with red hair like her own. The older one was called Kat and the younger one was called Uni. They were her cousins – daughters of Red’s brother.
Trix didn’t even know Red had a brother! The three of them lived together along with a large amount of pets that Trix had collected over the years. These pets came from in various shapes and sizes from Mochis and Kikis to a Mini Ghost she’d found in the street.

For a long time, Trix had been in a relationship with a young Gaian called Sky. He had a story of his own – that Trix knew little of. She knew something of a girl called Alice, who had given her life so that Sky could be reborn. Or something like that. Trix never really asked. Truth was, she didn’t really love Sky. She cared for him but…she didn’t love him in the way he loved her. But another would come, one that she would love…

When Gambino and Gino were separated, the explosion caught the attention of an alien race called the Zurg. These creatures were from another world, bringing with them their energy drink. There was the mother, there was the army, there was any number of baby aliens. And there was the mother’s twelve sons. The twelfth, the youngest, that was Bobo. When the Zurg first came, Trix prepared herself
for war. She met several Zurg, who treated her with hostility. So she returned this hostility. She armed herself and prepared to fight for Gaia. She unearthed a Zurg spy in the GIB. In every way, she seemed anti-Zurg. She WAS anti-Zurg.
But then something happened. Something that changed that. First she met Flarn. He was different. He was nice. And then she met him. Bobo. He was se sweet; so kind. She fell in love. They had a child. They named him Kegg. But there was another. Bobo loved Trix, but he loved another more. Dagger. Trix soon realized that, whatever she did, Dagger was the true love of Bobo’s life. Later, after the Zurg left, Dagger got married to another Gaian. Despite this, Trix stood by Bobo through all. But a divide was starting to grow within the Zurg. They all had very different ideas about how the Gaians should be treated. Flarn was attacked and nearly killed. And then Bobo went missing. It was during this time that Trix encountered the grunnies again. An army of grombies set on destroying the Zurg. Trix watched them torture and kill a baby Zurg. That’s when Trix realised that Kegg wasn’t safe. She hid him in Bobo’s guild. And then the Zurg left. Just like that.
It was a shock to all the Gaians. Trix couldn’t believe it. She didn’t know how to cope. She hadn’t even had a chance to say goodbye. But she had to pick herself up and carry on. For Kegg’s sake. And Bobo’s. On her own.

A long time passed. Not much happened. Gaians were left wondering about the mysteries that filled their world. But then things changed. Strange things began to happen in the world of Gaia (nothing new there then). The Von Helsons returned, and the Gaians were sent on quests for them and the shopkeeper Edmund. And he emerged. Louie. Trix fell. Again. Hard. But then he was seen. Bobo. Tales of him being seen in towns. Trix couldn’t believe it. She was happy and yet…what did it mean? Where did it leave her? And more and more mysteries began to unfold. The tale of Gambino. And of the woman he loved. And Trix saw her picture. And something, something within her stirred. Those eyes. Those eyes…
