"A lie travels around the world while truth is putting her boots on."
-French Proverb.
Alrighty. My first quote. So as we look into this quote, it's pretty straight forward. A lie is universal and big. So big that it can spread all around. Now let's look at truth. When you put your boots on, you usually do that when you go outside and many people go outside in the morning. So in otherwords, while truth is doing something in the morning, lie has already spead through the world and rather quickly. Another thing about the "boot" part is that usually [real cowboy boots] are rather had to put on. I mean, think about trying to get this hunk of leather on your feet. And in that sense, it's really difficult to tell the truth and it seemed to be a real bother. So instead of doing the good thing and allowing yourself to put on the hard boots you grab your vans [or your lie] instead. And the sad thing is, is that this it true. That many would rather say a lie then tell the truth and in our modern society everyone seems to lie nearly every day. Shouldn't we ought to do something about it?
