~~~Episode Thirty-Four~~~
Haku tensed, standing strong as Starscream came thundering across the ground towards him. He narrowed his eyes, then dove forward – barely dodging a giant foot as it came crashing down beside him. He back slashed into the metal, causing sparks as the two metal clashed.
The attack barely did any damage against Starscream, and the Decepticon turned and lunged forward to grab him.
Haku fell back to dodge this time, and painfully hit the metal floor as the hand came at him. He rolled to the side, ignoring the pounding in his head. Starscream was faster, stomping his foot down and stopping Haku as he tried to stand.
“You’re not going anywhere fleshie!”
He snapped, his voice matching his name. The Decepticon again reached to grab him, and Haku lashed out with both katana in a violent X shaped slash.
The metal hand that had come towards him jerked back as the fingers were cut – the metal obviously less on the hands than the legs. Starscream hissed in pain and stepped back slightly, giving Haku the chance he needed.
He darted across the large hall towards Wheeljack, who was starting to get up.
“Human!”
Haku kept running as he heard Starscream shout his name. He slid to a stop beside Wheeljack; the mechanic getting to his feet and glaring at Starscream.
“Are you alright Haku?”
Wheeljack asked as he aimed at Starscream. The seeker aimed his own weapon at Wheeljack, returning the glare.
“Just fine – now blast that creep so that we can get into the repair dock and help Yuri.”
Haku said when he was safely behind the Autobot. Starscream ran forward, and Wheeljack fired several times. The Decepticon stumbled back, holding his chest and stopping with a nasty glare.
Haku nearly jumped out of his exo-suit as the repair dock door slid open with a ‘hiss’, and he turned expecting to see the medic step out. Instead, a large blue and white Decepticon with a red visor came out, his gun instantly aiming at Wheeljack’s helm.
Haku froze as five small bots came running out, standing beside the blue one.
Wheeljack tensed, hesitating now.
“Soundwave…”
He said, his voice resembling a strange growl. Soundwave didn’t respond, but instead turned his attention to Starscream.
“Have you and the others succeeded?”
He asked, acting like Wheeljack wasn’t even there. Starscream glared,
“I was working on it!”
He whined, thrusting his gun in Wheeljack’s direction. Soundwave looked down – staring straight down at Haku.
Wheeljack stepped to the side so that Haku was hidden from view behind his leg, and one of the smaller bots laughed a little.
“Step aside Autobot. We already got one of your pets – but we kinda’ cam’ for the whole set.”
Rumble said with a smile. Haku looked up…and literally felt his heart skip a beat.
Yuri.
Soundwave had her in his left hand; her body limp in his grip. Wheeljack had also seen her, and lowered his weapon.
“Why do you want the humans?”
He asked, trying to figure out a plan. Haku could literally hear the gears as Wheeljack’s processor worked double time.
Starscream stepped forward,
“That’s none of your business Autobot.”
He hissed. He then re-aimed his gun, holding it towards Wheeljack’s chest.
“Now, hand over the fleshling.”
Wheeljack stepped back, causing Haku to quickly step back to not get crushed.
“I don’t think so.”
“Not a problem. ‘Wave, you and Screamer can handle this Autobot. We’ll get the human.”
Frenzy said, Rumble agreeing with him.
“Works for me.”
Starscream came at Wheeljack with a hook punch, knocking the mechanic to the side. Wheeljack caught himself against the wall and fired at Starscream in response. Haku was left out in the open, and Ravage, Lazerbeak, and Buzzsaw came at him.
Haku glared, running back a few paces before turning to face the cassettes with his katana. In a flash of movement, the black panther lunged, forcing Haku to throw up his arms to protect his chest and face.
In a crushing tackle, Haku was forced to the ground, Ravage pinning him with her paws. Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw landed beside Ravage, ripping Haku’s katana from his grip.
“No! Get off!”
Haku shouted angrily as he attempted to kick Ravage off of him. Soundwave had stood in the same spot, watching as Starscream and Wheeljack fought. He slowly turned his attention to Haku as his cassettes completely pinned Haku to the ground. He still struggled, glancing over at where his katana had been thrown against the wall.
“Pick up the human and follow me. We must hurry before –“
Soundwave’s voice was cutoff as he was shot squarely in the chest. He stumbled back, his free hand covering the damaged area.
“Soundwave!”
Rumble shouted, he and the other cassettes obviously alarmed. More shots were fired, and Haku heard Starscream cry out in pain as he was hit multiple times. He couldn’t see anything from his trapped position, but there was suddenly a roar from his left.
Ravage turned with an angry yowl as a lion lunged at her. The two metal cats collided, throwing Ravage off of Haku. He quickly kicked out, his foot coming in contact with Frenzy’s face. The cassette let out a shout, stumbling back. Rumble went to grab Haku, only to hear Lazerbeak and Buzzsaw shout something. He turned as a rhinoceros came charging full speed – another small bot riding on top of it. Rumble and Frenzy scrambled out of the way, the rhino snorting as it continued its insane run. Haku was free, but his eyes widened at the approaching machine that seemed to have no intent on stopping.
