" Easy dumbass," the vampire said. " I was born."
Chisato stared at her. " You have no right calling me a dumbass. I wasn't the one who got caught by the hollow."
" I... could've escaped without your help," she murmered.
" Yeah, right," Chisato said. " What's your name?"
The vampire looked down. " Kintashi. Orumachi Kintashi."
" Do you have a home?" Chisato asked. Kintashi shook her head. Chisato stood up, grabbed Kintashi's arm and headed toward Urahara"s shop.
" Where are you taking me?" Kintashi asked paniked.
" To a friends place," Chisato said. " Please, don't be rude."
Kintashi didn't say anything as they walked. That was good. Chisato could think without interuptions. The kid had no home and she sure as hell wasn't taking her with her. Her best bet was to take her to Urahara and leave her. He'd have the perfect subject to study. ' Damn squad 12,' she thought.
She could see Urahara's shop. She was almost free.
" No," Urahara said.
" Why?" Chisato asked.
Urahara smiled. " She's a vampire and a young one at that. She needs a older vampire to teach her the ropes. I can't do that."
" I am not taking her with me!" Chisato snapped. " I would rather go back to the Soul Society than take her with me."
" Than you better get going," Urahara said.
Chisato scolded at him. She shook her head. There had to be some way out of this. She just couldn't take her. She couldn't protect her. She could hardly protect her family.
" Please, Urahara," Chisato begged. " I can't take her."
" You can't or you won't?" Urahara said. " You spent your whole life running or hiding. I remember in class you never spoke to anyone. You'd just ignored them. Is that what you're afraid of? Getting close to someone?"
Chisato stared at the ground. ' You have no idea how right you really are,' Chisato thought. ' no idea.'
