Dear Diary,
I am writing this as ax-wielding chickens chase my brother around a swamp infested with fanged mushrooms and killer chipmunks. At least, that's what is happening on our TV screen. My brother, Peter, is playing one of his stupid video games with the volume turned up all the way, so I can hear every single THWACK! as Peters virtual head gets chopped off. And every DING! as he picks up a power up, and every annoying guitar riff as the screen flashes the words "GAME OVER!" To everyone in Peter's 5th grade class, he's a hero, because he's the only one to get to Level 12. And since he's a hero, everyone listens to him. And since everyone listens to him, that means that they're annoyed with me when he is, and angry at me when he is, which is pretty often. And since the 5th grade is the highest grade in the school, everyone listens to them, which mean that most of the time, the entire elementary school knows me as Peter Brooks's annoying 14 year old sister. One of the reasons I'm writing in this diary is that it won't (and can't) listen to Peter. Of course it can't really listen to me either, but I like writing anyway. At least I'm in a different school, and will be for another 3 years. But it really annoys me when I'm trying to practice the piano, and there's really loud theme music and DING!s, and THWACK!s and the clucking sound that chickens make. rolleyes Well, now it's dinner time, so I've got to stop writing.
