It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.......
But it sure doesn't feel much like Christmas around my place. Our tree isn't even up. My dad just put the lights up two nights ago... Most of our neighbors have had their trees and lights up since just after Thanksgiving. My dad is a scrooge, and would rather not have a tree, or lights, or anything. He just wants his big meal on Christmas day, and that's it.
I miss Christmas the way it used to be when I was a little kid. I'd get soo excited about it. I couldn't wait! After Halloween, I didn't even care about Thanksgiving, I would just jump straight into the Christmas spirit. But lately... It hasn't been that way. It's a bit depressing.
I miss being a child, and feelings the small pleasures of life that little kids feel....
