or at least a conundrum of sorts. We're supposedly getting some big snowstorm this weekend. I have a choir concert this weekend, and I usually head south about an hour to my cousins house which is infinitely closer to my place of work (which I'll soon be quiting - HOORAY!) on the weekends.

So, my schedule this weekend was supposed to be as such: Friday night's rehearsal, drive a half hour or so south afterwards to cousin's house. Wake up, be at work by six am. Leave work 6 pm, get food somewhere, drive north for a half hour or so to Saturday night's rehearsal location, drive half hour or so home. (Home and cousin's house are about an hour apart, the rehearsals take place approximately halfway between.) Then, sleep in, and call off work Sunday! (That never happens for me on weekends.) Wake up whenever on Sunday, and head back into the halfway point area for my concert Sunday afternoon.

Well, they're predicting huge snow & ice & freezing rain storm in the area for Saturday mostly, with anywhere between 3-6 or 7-9 inches accumulation. Which makes me NOT want to have to drive an hour or so on crazy icy roads in fun winter weather.

Which brings me to now ~ where I'm sitting at the laptop at home, and not being at my cousin's house. While I was at rehearsal, I kept getting the feeling that Murphey's Law was about to strike. Oh, you know it, the one about whatever can go wrong, will. With that in mind, I was thinking that if I just came home, worried about the weather and my drive, we probably wouldn't get anything so bad, and I would have been just fine driving all over the place. But, if I did actually try to do all the driving, nasty weather (for driving anyway) would pop up all over the place around here. So, home I came, and we'll see what actually happens!
