Dont cage me in with the rest of the word
Dont just observe me, learn
I am not just a dreamer
I am not completely shielded
I have feelings
Every word is a stab in the heart
To know that you only look on the outside
and not inside my heart.
My wings are broken.
Not just by you.
but by every event
by every tear
by every scream
by every loss.

Of course i lose many things
but i never lost sight of my heart
you do not know the real me
you do not understand me
you say you try but who really means what they say
i'm at my own level of smart
as long as i know that i believe that i am smart
if you say i can be smarter
you are numbing me from my efforts
dont help me unless i'm on my edge
i know how to walk on my own two feet
even if i break down and cry
i know i can get through

If i hid emotions
it means i dont want anyone to worry
if i am open my emotions
you should feel lucky that your getting in touch with the real me
If you see me smile
you should know that i am happy

You observed my shell.
Thats what hurt the most.
if only you realized that.
