A young woman named faella attends a grand ball in the home of the countess, young, vibrant, and single the girl mixes around making small talk as is proper for a young lady. When, from across the way she spots an elgantly dressed, young gentlemen smileing at her. he gestures to her and without thinking she walkes straight to him. he continues to smile without showing his teeth and nods in the direction of the empty, dimly-lit courtyard. looking for love and in hopes that this mysterious young suiter may posses the key to her heart, she follows. he leads her to a secluded bench, and produces a small skull-shaped hairpin and speaking for the first time whispers "for you my sweet, a symbol of forever" a very odd thing to say, but she was absolutely under his spell. he took her face between his hands and began pulling her face toward him as if to kiss her. Then smiling hugely, he exposed two large, canine-like fangs. Faella tried to pull away, but he was too strong. He pulled her in and bit the side of her neck, just under her jaw.
