Hello again! An update from me... If you haven't seen me poking around in the forums with news, here is the latest:
Johnny is well on his way to recovery, there are still a few very minor hitches (mostly with setting up follow up care and deciding what issues need to be addressed with his primary). He began walking around on his own a couple of days ago, which is really ahead of expectations. Of course he can't do it for long and it tires him out, but that is a good sign that he is serious about his physical therapy. Doctors at first were saying it could be a year with a case like his before he is fully recovered, but now they believe it is possible in six months! ^^. So, that shows how strong he has been, and positive through the experience. I am very proud and happy of his efforts to help his recovery. It could be so easy to get depressed and defeated for anyone going through something like this, but he has shown courage and determination.
If everything keeps going the way it is he should be released soon. I want him home badly, but I don't think anyone could possibly want it more than him =p. I would reveal more about the situation than I have, but Johnny is a really private person, and someone who hates to talk about 'bad stuff', so I am going to leave it up to him how much he feels like chatting about his condition. Anyone who really wants to know could research it all with the information I have already given in the journal anyway. Suffice to know, that his disease, Crohn's, could be in complete remission for a very long time, if not permanently.
Thanks again everyone for your support, patience, prayers, well wishes, real and virtual hugs and all of the heart s
Love
Kim
