More news on my small charges.
The egg has finally hatched, revealing something that uncomfortably reminds me of that cursed raccoon from the holidays... Apparently, later stages of growth reveal that this little one is actually something different, but while he hides beneath his little eggshell cap, he worries me...
The fuzzy, allergic nightmare of a spore has now become an endearing little... er... well, it's definitely showing signs of mobility, as it now follows me everywhere I go by rotating its (stem? antenna?) and hovering beside my head.
And the snowbear has shown the most surprising growth of all. There's something magical about him, as he can now transform from a sleepy bear to a hardy shield at will, which seems to be whenever he feels I am in danger. It's really quite sweet...
Gah, I've gone from sighing over the plight of orphans to gushing over these creatures' growth. What's the matter with me?
