Now on with the story, Serena/Sapphire pairing!

Serena was currently walking on the streets of Tokyo trying to hail a cab. It was in the middle of rush hour and Serena was having a hard time. She didn’t want to resort to wasting energy going al the way to the airport. Then again se also didn’t want to waste her money. She decided quickly. She ran into an alley way, and after making sure no one was looking she left. “Sailor Teleport!”

(How did she get the money you ask? Serena worked an evening shift at the Crown Arcade every weekend. She was often late because of the never ending youma attacks, but Andrew had an overwhelming amount of patience for hr and never questions why she was always so late. When ever fought a youma form the dark moon family she would collect e jewels left in their ashes, remember the last chapter with Onyxia? She sold those crystals and earned money from that too. Not only that the silver crystal supplied her with an infinite amount of money. Okay now back to where we were.)

Serena had transported herself to Tokyo’s National Airport and got ready for her flight thirty minutes away. She shuffled through a packed line.

She changed her name; she didn’t want the scouts looking for her. Serena Tsukino was now Lieto Megami. Lieto was Italian for happy and Megami was Japanese for Goddess. She knew she would have to change her look when she got America, in case the scouts ever saw her. She remembered that Darien could track her down using their link (their link- Serena and Darien share a special link that allows them to communicate to each other by feeling each others emotions and know where each other is) and quickly using the silver crystal broke it. She analyzed anyway the scouts could find her. So she quickly erased herself from Earth. The only people who could remember her were the scouts and Andrew. She knew Sailor Pluto could find her the time stream. So she erased herself from there too. She also made her crystal untraceable, that way Ami couldn’t find her with the Mercury computer. When she was sure the scouts couldn't find her she moved on.

She was heading for America in a place called New York. She was fluent in English.

As a former princess it was mandatory that she learned the language of all planets and English just happened o be one of them. Serena checked her watch and eyes bulged. It was five fifteen! She only had fifteen minutes before her flight left she didn’t even know where the gate she was supposed to go to was at.

She rushed through a crowd of people until she bumped into a man hard back. She almost fell but quickly regained her balance.

She looked up and for a second she thought she saw Darien, but when she looked closer. She saw that this person’s hair had blue-ish tint to it. Her face grew bitter at the reminder of her old life. She was trying to start her life over again and couldn’t help but notice the reminders everywhere she looked.

She was about to walk away when the man turned around. Serena gasped “Sapphire?” It was him indeed. He looked just like he did before. He was wearing a warm blue sweater, and blue faded jeans. This time it was Sapphire who gasped. “Serena?”

There was a soft pause when Serena launched herself at him, and hammered with questions. “When did you get back? I thought you were dead. Are you evil? Is Diamond alive? Why are you here? Where are you going?”

Sapphire chuckled. “I’m not evil in fact it was your mother who returned my life to me. I’m going to gate eighteen and my flight is going to New York in ten minutes.” He heard Serena giggle.

“I’m going to New York in ten minutes too; it must be coincidence that we’re going on the same plane. Where is your seat?” She leaned over Sapphire shoulders to peer at his plane ticket. She glanced back at hers and giggled softly. “Now this I must be fate. I’m first class seat A-13 and your first class A-14. We’ll be sitting in the same seats! How cool is that!” Sapphire smiled. She walked with him to their gate. “You’ll just have to answer my entire questions when we get on the plane.” She said. “And you’ll just have to answer mine.” He replied

-With the Scouts and Darien-

They were all gathered at Rei's shrine. Luna and Artemis sat in between the sailor scouts. The all were discussing Serena’s situation.

“Do you think she’ll come back Darien?” “Of course she wills Ami. She always comes back.” “I think we need to find t put ourselves back together. We need a leader, the monsters are getting harder to fight every day and we just can't wait until Serena comes back. We have to do something. We haven't had power upgrade since forever. If Serena doesn't show signs of returning by tomorrow we should tart to look for her.” The other senshi sent approving looks towards Mina.

Luna stepped in. “Artemis and I have been researching these youmas and it seems that they haven't got any stronger, we have gotten weaker. We need to start more training seriously. All of you need to search deep within yourselves and find more power.

We don’t have the silver crystal so we need to make up for our losses. Tomorrow afternoon someone should go to the Tsukino household to see if she's not there. If not we'll use your energy signal to track her down. I don't know how she would be so reckless. Lets end the meeting you guy have homework to finish and school tomorrow. This meeting is over.”

Serena and Sapphire-

Serena had turned herself toward Sapphire while he explained how he was reborn. “So after I died I just floated in this endless abyss of white, watching you and the scouts. I saw the beginning of the battle with Chaos. Then your mother came to me. She told me that I wasn't meant to die when Wiseman killed me. So she sent me here. On Earth I should be about eighteen next month on the thirtieth. I have no family but I intended to make a name for myself so I work with a modeling agency as a photographer. Serena’s eyes grew big.

“Next month is my birthday June 30th! And as an early birthday present it would be great if you could give me as an early birthday present.”

She gave him puppy dog eyes, and he couldn’t resist. “What job would you want?” Serena grew silent gazed out of the window. “I always wanted to be a model and I know I could accomplish it if I tried hard and I promised my very hardest to do my best.” Sapphire gazed at her “Well I would have to see what my boss would say.” Serena jumped on him not realizing that she was sitting on his lap. She pecked him on both cheeks and laughed as he turned deep red.

“Thank you so much. When we land where are you going to live?” Sapphire already had the answer to that question. I’m staying with a roommate this cozy apartment in Manhattan.” “Would this roommate happen to live on 3rd avenue and 32nd street would it?” “Yes how would you know, Serena?”

Serena was literally jumping up and down (keep I mind she was still on Sapphire’s lap. “I’m going to live there too! It must be fate that I met you.”

The intercom on the plane beeped and a woman’s was heard. “Passenger’s please buckled your seatbelts and prepare for minor turbulence we are now approaching LaGuardia airport.

Serena and Sapphire laughed as they pressed their nosed against his window so they could see the breathtaking scenery of the landing lanes lights.

None of them felt the least it tired considering it was one-o-clock in the morning in Japan and two-o-clock in the afternoon at New York. After they landed and Sapphire gathered his luggage he hailed a taxi and asked Serena more about herself.

Her eyes hardened for a moment, “Well I’ll talk about it when we get home lets just enjoy the ride. Sapphire nodded and dozed off; he only awakened when he heard the screech of their taxi’s tires.

He found that Serena was leaning on is shoulder and fast asleep. He couldn’t help but notice how beautiful she looked with her air spiraling around her. He slowly nudged her and she didn’t wake up, after a few minute he walked around the taxi and carried Serena out, bridal style. He paid the driver and walked up to his new how. He had to hold Serena with one arm while he fished into his pocket looking for his keys.

He finally found them and pushed the door open with his waist. He took a moment to glance out at the apartment. He carried Serna to the second bedroom, he got out one of his old blankets and he lay in his bed in the other room. He had work the next day but he felt as though he was going to sleep forever. He was lucky it wasn’t cold outside then he would have had real problems.

With The Scouts-

Rei couldn’t sleep and she knew the other scouts couldn’t either. She was up wondering if she had done the right thing kicking Serena out of her life.

“Did I do the right thing? I mean she was late and she was always getting in my way. I had to sacrifice Darien for her, and she throws him away for no reason .I had to make that sacrifice. Whatever she did would support her even if se was a crying baby. She was our leader and she betrayed us not the other way around. We all worked so hard, and when the world goes into eternal freeze we’ll have a queen and I’ll never have to worry about her again. She was the one who hurt us. She’s a murder and a traitor she betrayed us. She was like family to me, and then she goes off and discards her destiny, and kills Rini. I did the right thing kicking her off the scouts, the right thing.

Rei smirked in her sleep dreaming peacefully, not thinking more of the biggest mistake in your life.

Darien was sleeping, but he was constantly waking up to the picture of Serena and him on his nightstand. He finally reached over and put the picture faced down.

“Serena I don’t know where you are right now, but I can find her now if I wanted.

That’s what he tried to do. He searched is mind for his link, silently screamed when he found none.

Serena! She couldn’t have taken this so seriously. I can’t feel her emotions; I don’t know where she is!

He took the picture that was on h wall and hurled it to the other side of the room. He was in his boxers and sock. Tomorrow was Monday and he had school but he would call a sick day. He couldn't think straight. And threw on a shirt, pants, and coat. He waked out the door to se if he could find so kind o liquor to soothe his pain

Meanwhile, Amy couldn’t sleep; she was troubled by the thought of Serena.

“Was it right to judge her? I know it was wrong for her to come late but she never told u why. S he betrayed our trust and tricked u into thinking she had less power. Amy thought back to when Serena did bad on her test paper, when she was clumsy, and stupid. In the battle with the snake youma Amy barely had enough time to see the youma’s weakness before I was down. Serena had a visor and she had computed the monsters weakness before I could blink. A wave of jealousy washed over her. I was right to kick her off the tam she thought she was better than all of us. Even if I did make the wrong decision she always comes back. I’ll probably see her at school, and everything will be back to the way it was.”

Little did she know Serena wasn’t going to be at school that day.

Mina eyes stared at the ceiling trying to find some way to keep her heart at peace. She tried thinking of anything else, but her thought always wondered back to Serena.

“I know she was never there. She wasn’t there at the battle yesterday, she’s always late she always trying to get what I wt. I was the leader of the scout back in the Silver Millennium; it should be me who was the leader. I kind of wish she never comes back then I can become the leader. Then everything will be the way it was meant to be. I’ll be the leader and Serena will be what she always wanted to be…normal.

Mina sighed with pleasure as she plotted how she would reclaim her title as the leader of the Sailor Scouts.

Amara cringed as she thought back to the hurtful words she had said to Serena. She was awake and was staring at the back f her eyelids. She pretended she was asleep. After all she didn’t want to worry Michelle, who lay by her.

“I hurt Koneko-chan, the look on her face said it was going take her a while to get over this fight. But she’s pure hearted and she can’t hate anyone. What we did now was just what she needed to have to get herself back in line. She need this and by kicking her off the team temporarily will be healthy for her.

She really didn’t think what she thought was the truth, but it did help her get to sleep.

On the other side room Michelle wasn’t having any such luck sleeping.

She glanced at her digital clock. It was three thirty seven in the morning. She rubbed her eyes, trying to avoid elbowing Amara.

“Amara did we do the right thing? I know I’ll always stand beside you. She saved both of our lives when Eugene (The red haired girl in Witches 5) tried to kill us at the chapel. Then again we would have never died if there was no Sailor Moon with us. We would have guarded the outer planets in harmony like we’ve always done. Is it who or us that are wrong? I know she is just a little girl, but she has all the power and knowledge yet she abuses it. She’s clumsy, doesn’t appreciate the Utopia we’re striving to achieve. She affirmed herself once more. We did the right thing by kicking her out of the scouts.

She stayed up a while longer but she then reassured herself numerous times she did the right thing and dozed off into a dreamless sleep.

(Guess who’s next?)

Hotaru was wide awake. She was missing Serena, and decided se had to talk to her.

“Serena are you there?”

With Serena-

Serena woke up and put two fingers on her temple. She could hear someone calling her, and she wanted to know who.

“Hello... Hotaru? Are you there?”

“Serena it’s me. Hotaru. I can’t sleep. Can you sing to me?”

“Oh Hota-chan, I’m very tired but f you really want me to sing I will.”

Serena smiled at Hotaru’s innocence and began to (telepathically) sing her a song.

“At night just look upon the moon, be at peace, in serenity.

At night, just look upon the room in silence, and tranquility.

The stars twinkle in the dark night. It raps its arms around you holding you tight.

When you’re feeling lonely look upon the moon, you can see its light, filling up the room.

If your ever drowning in misery look upon the moon, it’ll keep you company.

That glowing orb in the sky makes you feel alright.

Moon, Moon, Moon, Moon, Moon, Moon.

Soon, come to me.

“Hotaru?” Serena smiled as she knew Hotaru was sleeping. She yawned and realized it was four-o-clock in the morning at Tokyo. She didn’t see a clock in her room. She did some quick multiplication in her head. There’s a thirteen hour time difference from New York to Tokyo so if it was four in the morning there it was five in the afternoon in New York. She shook of the remaining jet lag she had and went to unpack her things.

- A few hours later-

Serena wiped her hands on her jeans satisfied with her work.

Her room was now painted midnight blue with the ceiling itself was covered in stars; her bed was queen sized and was in the right corner of her room. It was across from her walk in closet which had some of her old clothes in it. When she re-deigned her room she took out the clothes that reminded her of her old life, which meant every single pink thing was gone and replace with new darker or white clothes. She Sony had one window in her room which was quite huge. It had an indent with it and deep navy cushions were placed there so one could lie down next to the window. She had a stereo, sound system, and Sony plasma in her room, they were silver so they matched the tiny stars on her walls and sheets her carpet was a circular mat that was brown and fuzzy. She was about to go make some food when she heard the sizzle of a pan in her kitchen.

She followed her nose to the kitchen where she saw Sapphire holding two plates of pasta. She could almost feel herself beginning to drool and it wasn’t because of the food too. Sapphire was sweating with all of the steam that was coming out of the pasta pots. His hair was messy, and he didn’t seem to notice her either. (yummy)

When Sapphire looked up he blushed (he’s been doing that a lot lately hasn’t he?) Serena’s hair was down and it pooled around her. She was wearing a small baby tee and skinny jeans that were ripped around the knees. “Serena, I was just about to get you. Dinner is ready. He set the two plates of steaming pasta on kitchen table. “I was just about to get something to eat, thanks Sapphire.” She was about to it down when Sapphire pulled out the chair for her., and then sat at the opposite side of the table. Serena took a bite out of the spaghetti careful not to burn her tongue.

“Since when did you earn how to cook?” “A long time ago, it was just one of my hobbies, besides working with Diamond.” Serena’s ears perked at the time. “That reminds me what happened to Diamond anyway?” Sapphire looked away, “Diamond died when e took the blast Wiseman sent for you. Serenity, your mother said he was meant to die and he wasn’t coming back. I know he’s in a better place though.” “I’m sorry.” “It’s okay. I’ve accepted it. Let’s change the subject. What about you? You never got the chance to tell me about why you’re here.”

Serena sighed. “I guess it inevitable. After chaos the scouts and I drifted apart. It was kind of like there was no need to see each other anymore. Darien and I didn’t talk and it was all falling apart. We still had stray youma to fight though. Well one day I was training.” Sapphire interrupted” “Training?” “You know push ups, sit ups, running a few miles, a few kicks, punches. Well anyway, I was so tired of maintaining the thought having to create Crystal Tokyo. I didn’t want to marry Darien, get married and have Rini. Much less rule the universe. So I wanted out of it. I told the scouts what I wanted and they refused to let me do it. I just wanted out of it so I said goodbye to Hotaru and I left. I changed my name to Lieto Megami and I intend on changing my looks tomorrow.”

“Lieto, what does that me?” “Well it means happy in Italian. I thought it would be a form fitting name. Which reminds me since I want to get a complete make-over tomorrow when are you meeting your boss?” “One-o clock in the afternoon.” Serena giggled. “Well it means we’ll have enough time for shopping!” Serena exclaimed Sapphire burst into laughter. “Well we’ll just have to do that then.” Serena smiled (there’s a lot of smiling and blushing here isn’t there)

Serena helped Sapphire clear the dishes as the huddled to a couch near the TV and looked for something good to watch.

With The Scouts-

The girls were all the school waiting for Serena to come in late. (In this story all the inner scouts go to the same school together.) As time passed the class waited for their teacher to come in because today Ms. Haruna was unusually ate. Rei was just about dozing off, when the teacher came into class. “Class I have an announcements to make today. Serena Tsukino will no longer be attending Juban High School. Now this took the scouts by surprise.

While Ms. Haruna started taking attendance the scout huddled in the back of the room talking about Serena not o mysterious disappearance. “You guys do you think Serena is going to come back to us? I mean I know we were mean but Serena has the purest hard in the whole Universe and she can’t hold a grudge to save her life.”

“Lita, I know what you mean but the probability of Serena staying with us as a scout o normal student standards is 0.01 of a percentage rate. Even though Serena is not purely human, still the look on her face and the way she was acting still makes the chance of her forgiving us is slim to none.”

Ms. Haruna heard the chattering in the back of the room and it annoyed her to no end. She quickly called the girls on their insolence. “Quiet!” she screamed. She brought down the yard stick in her hand so hard I broke in half on impact, this immediately quieted the girls. “We’ll have a meeting after school on it okay?” The scouts nodded and then paid more attention to the school.

With Serena & Sapphire –

The light shad dimmed in the room. Serena and Sapphire were currently watching the end of “The Titanic” Serena had a bunch of Kleenex stuffed in her hand while the other was used to wipe her tears. (I cried while I watched the movie too!) She flicked on the lights while she went to see how Sapphire was holding up. Sapphire was currently sleeping on the couch, curled up in a fetal position. “Aww he’s so adorable.” (Yummy, too.) She flicked on the light and went back to the room to throw a light blanket over him. She went back into her room and instead of sleeping on her bed she went and took a sheer blanket so she could sleep on the cushions next to her window, so she could see the moon.

“I better get to sleep I have to get up early to go shopping!”

With The Scouts -

(Seven hours later; after school is done)

The scouts were going to the Tsukino household to see where Serena was. They politely knocked on the door, and Sammy answered. “Hi Sammy, have you seen Serena lately?” The boy didn’t answer and yelled upstairs for his father. “Dad some girls are here!”

After the scout waited a few minutes a man in his late thirties came down the stairs with a newspaper tucked under his arm. He glanced at the girls before sitting in an armchair. “How can I help you?” “Well we’re here to see Serena; do you know where she is?” Lit asked. The man looked at the scouts as if there were crazy. “I’m sorry, but there’s no Serena, here thank you.” Rei was about to interrupt but Ami butted in “- Thank you sir. It must be the house across the street thanks for your hospitality.”

-Outside-

“I think we should get out of here this is getting serious, I then Serena erased herself from her family’s minds. We should talk to the others about this.”

“As far as we know Serena ran away. And there even more bad news.” Rei whispered.

“Her family doesn’t know she even existed which means she put some sort of magic on tem. Now we don’t know who remembers her and who doesn’t, so we have to be careful whenever we mention her name around people who know or used to know her.

Michele shook her head “What else can go wrong?”

Darien walked into the room. “Serena caught off our link. I can’t feel her emotion, much less no where she is!”

Luna covered her mouth with her paw in shock. “We have no way of knowing where Serena is.”

“Wait! I still have her crystal energy in my Mercury computer we can trace wherever she is with it.”

She immediately began typing. And the scout crowded around her to see what she was doing.

“Hold on, tracing, tracing, it’s blocked! She’s somehow made the crystal’s energy untraceable!”

The scouts stood around in shock.

“What if she’s dead? What if her family didn’t remember her because the silver crystal took her family's memory away from the. What if the crystal is untraceable because Serena is dead?”

Mina sunk to the floor as it registered in her mind how much that made sense. How it all seemed to click together.

“You’re wrong! We still can still find her in the time.” Amara yelled. She looked into the ceiling and screamed. “Pluto! Pluto! Plu-” she didn’t get to finish her words. Sailor Pluto had already arrived. “I knew you would want to find Serena, using the time stream. I have been earchng for her since yesterday. She is not in the time stream which means she is dead. The scouts gasped. They felt no remorse for her death, but rather they wanted the power that came with her crystal.

Meanwhile, Hotaru sat in the corner of the room. She almost smiled, but it would give too much away. She knew Serena was alive but she thought would help Serena start a new life without the sailor scouts trying to find her.

That’s all for now! 11 pages! I’m so happy. I hope this chapter is good enough for my faithful reviewers. I’m sorry to say n future chapters there won’t be as much of the scouts. It’ll mostly be about the building of Serena’s and Sapphire’s relationship.
