So I's been six days since my big surgery and my neck looks like i got into a bad bar fight lol. It still hurts sorta but the pain isn't nearly as great as it was right after the surgery. I'm getting way better sleep now because the pain is finally going away. I'm not waking up at 5:30 am every morning now.
My surgery was to find and remove two lymph nodes that were supposed to have cancer in them i got what was called a Right Neck Dissection, where they remove all the lymph nodes on the right side of my neck. The cancer i have is called "MEN type 2A" meduliary something something... i forget what the MEN stands for. It's a very slow growing genetic thyroid cancer that usually stays in the same spot for years and years.
I got my thyroid removed 10 years ago and i'm 19 now lol. I take a synthetic thyroid medication because without it i'd get all leythargic and die after three days or so no joke, and NO i've never tested it. Or is it four days? Hmmm...anyway, so ten years later my calcitonin level kept rising after the first surgery and now after this second one I'm hoping that i'll be cancer free forever. So i'm crossing my fingers folks after this next blood test to determine if my calcitonin level is at 0 and isn't gonna go any higher. I'm glad i'm done with the surgery and that I'm recovering so quickly but my neck isn't in the best shape i got a long insicion right at the base of my neck where my first surgery took place, then i got a second insicion done on the right side of my neck high under my chin following the crease of where the neck meets the chin. those'll heal in about 6-8 weeks. But i'm glad i got the surgery out of the way.
oh by the way if any of you are wanting to go into the field of medicine here's a quote from mark twain.

My journal will consist of many things, mostly dreams though since i don't like posting personal problems on the internet. I like to write short stories and science fiction stuff but i really like writing about dreams of mine. I get really crazy with
