Small Potatoes: 500 gold. A custom edit in this category is usually either minimal or simple. Examples of minimal (i.e., not-whole-body) would be a premade wedding gown but with custom drawn sleeves, the addition of a sniper rifle to the FFBC Female Turk edit, a request to turn a regular outfit into a maternity outfit, and things like that. Examples of simple would be a request for a one piece dress made of unpatterned fabric, with earrings and shoes that could simply be taken from premade edits and recolored to match.
Low Range: 1,000 gold. A custom edit in this category is usually a complete costume but not quite detailed enough to warrant the usual 2,000 gold price tag. If a costume is lacking in any fine detail (fine = 1 to 3 pixels wide) and is fairly simple overall (few components/layers) then it probably falls within this category.
Mid Range: 2,000 gold. This is the price bracket that I quote most custom edits in. So long as an edit does not have a significant amount of small detail (buttons, lacing, edging), intricate patterns, or layering, it should fall within this category.
High Range: 3,000 gold. A lot of small components (accessories/armor) or details (frills/patterns) can push a mid range custom edit into the next price bracket. The smaller a detail is, the harder it is for me to make it look like it's supposed to. Piling on extras like hair and headdresses, wings and weapons, will also do the trick.
You Make Meri Cry: 5,000 gold or a Thank You Letter. Minimum. If you're afraid to bring me the request for fear that I'll shout, "ARE YOU CRAZY?!" then this is probably the price bracket you'll be dealing with. Head-to-toe wall-to-wall editing with patterns and ribbons and lacework galore. A "scene" edit where the only thing remaining of your original avatar will be the eyes. Stuff like that.

I'm notoriously unreliable when it comes to commissions. I mean, I certainly intend to do them when I agree to do it, but I have a tendency to put things off. Sometimes for quite a while. For instance, I only recently finished an edit that was commissioned from me over a year ago. They don't usually go that long, but it's a worst case scenario. I've been cranking them out pretty regularly recently, though...
So yeah... now that you know what you could be getting yourself into, you tell me if you want me to do a commission for you or not. lol
