MO Youth Convention 2008!!!
Wow... Where can I start? It was such an amazing year! It all started on Wednesday morning, March 19. We loaded up in vans and drove to Kansas City for the United Pentecostal Church Missouri Youth Convention. It was about a four hour drive. Anyways, we got there, unloaded, and hung out for a little bit. Then, at 7:30, the first service started. The move of God was really powerful, and the night speaker, Reverend Jimmy Toney, spoke about how the devil will come at us to steal our spiritual identity. The service lasted until about 10:30. It was simply amazing. Then, we went back to the hotel and hung out. I got about 1 1/2 hours of sleep that night. The morning service started at 10 in the morning. Chantry Dean spoke about how we shouldn't bring God fake worship. It was a really good message. Then, we all went to the mall, and had a good time. Then, back at the hotel, we had a lifting competition. I found out that I can't benchpress to save my life... I did win for tricep extensions. Anyways, we went to service that night and the worship was powerful. Bro. Toney spoke about reclaiming your lost identity. A lot of people were touched by God, including me. That night, I slept for about 4 1/2 hours. Then, came Friday. Service again started at 10. Chantry Dean spoke about being real with God. That night, Bro. Toney spoke about not hiding behind a mask. That night, we all felt a powerful move of God. Several in our Youth Group prayed through, and we were there praying until 11:00. We all hung out at Power Play that night with all the other youth in Missouri. I didn't sleep at all that night, but it was fun! Anyways, we loaded up in the van and left KC. It was an extremely awesome trip! Love to all of you!
