Ah...I just love this subject. It's got so many viewpoints, yet, so do other things too.
First I believe I will point out the pros and cons of this little subject here:
{Pros.}
I think my favorite pro' is the thought of being old enough to go into the career you've decided as a young child/teenager/young adult. That's why most kids want to grow up, to be whatever they wish to be.
Another is probably the car thing. They want a car. Gah. It's just a car; you'd waste your youth for that? I mean, seriously. But whatever, the time comes, and I would like to drive myself but still...I'd end up 'grocery girl'.
You're old enough to leave home and live wherever you wish. Ah, never understood this one. Don't like your birthplace do you? Well, whatever...
Utter Independence. Hah. This one makes me laugh. Independence. Shah. You will be told what to do by someone for the rest of your life. I'm serious.
Having A Family, getting married, having at least a boy/girlfriend. Hah. This is a nice pro'. ^^ If you really are thinking about all this stuff when you're younger. O.o
College. Understandable. Though...it's just school all over again, just harder, for the first two years there....
The End of School. I'd say it bittersweet, if you know what I mean. You aren't protected any more. You're a grownup(if I must use the younger version of the word) and bills are on their way...
Hah, hah, I'm very negative on the pros aren't I? Well, y'know, it's just gonna get worse on the cons! XD
{Cons.}
The Loss of Innocence and Ignorance. Yer grown up now, as I've said, things are gonna happen that didn't happen as a child or they did, but you didn't yet have to deal with any of it.
Youth. OMG. YER 0LD! L1K3, LOOK @ 7H0S3 WR1NKL3S! (Translation: OH MY GOSH! YOU'RE OLD! LIKE, LOOK AT THOSE WRINKLES. For those out there that are l33t illiterate.)
Bills, work, taking care of your kids, etc. etc. Welcome to the World of Mother/Fatherhood! Now you know why your Mom and Dad were always grumpy! Children are heathens! (XD No, I actually like kids...)
The Lesser of Freedom. Well, now look, you grew up! Now, doesn't that musky office reap your rewards? XD
