Ten years later, she awoke in a fairly large cabin, on the same hill. As she pulled her robes on quickly, she kissed her mother and father, then went out the door, quicly saying her daily prayer at the spot where the goddess had held her those years ago. And where all the flowers were in bloom. The robes billowed behind her, as she rushed down the hill, running towards the medicine man's hut, and skidding to a halt in front of his door.
"SuOnReyRenYei" she said in elvish, running to her usual spot in the line of girls and boys in idential robes, brushing the grass and dirt off, while the other children laughed " YuOiiUoitt ARuuEit LuuAiTeiEit" the medicine man said. Ayeit looked at him in question and he sighed exasperatedly "I said you are late" he repeated in elvish, but into her mind "Oh!" she said outloud, and resumed her stance in line
"Anyway" the old man said, not looking angry at the girl, but chuckled as sll the other kids smiled and the nearest ones whispered their greetings, but her friends farther away used their mind skills to bestow their regards. "We are studying the powers of herbs and magical ingredients. I suppose you all have your sickles?" all of them nodded, and took out what looked like golden hooks. "Alright then, follow me." they went with him, to an enjoyable lesson of picking leaves and garden plants from the fenced area behind the hut.
In eight years, she had become one of the finest medicine women around, and the house where she still lived with her family, grew, because of all the money she was making. People came to her with the most severe cases of illness, and they were instantly healed by "the woman of no wrongs". All the people of the land wanted their sons to be married to her, but she declined, and married the boy from medicine school she had always liked.
Soon, the king had sent out a proclimation to all healers. His daughter was sick, and whomsoever could heal her, would get ten thousand coins every year. Many tried, but in the end, a clever concoction by Ayeit made the princess better. She destroyed the old hut they lived in, and build a wonderful home in it's place, still leaving the garden where it was. Everyone was impressed with the woman, and wanted them to teach their children how to be healers like her. She pondered about this for many years, but in the end decided against it. "I was not taught to teach." she said to a very confused and anxious crowd "I only learned to heal." This was true. teaching and learning were very different things, but that didn't stop people from dropping children off at her house. All mysteriously ended up back home before their parents.
She and her husband had a child. They named her Ki. Ki grew up just has she had, but was blessed by a different god, and took up potion making. Ayeit was still quite young, and wished to see the world, heal everyone. Pure heart drove her to do everything.
It took her five years to cpmplete her quest. Her child had to stay behind, because she was still in school. When she came back, Ki asked the question Ayeit feared above all others "Who are you?".
