Death and Dismay
Hey peoples... could you start leaving comments so I know who actually reads my jounal... thanks.
Run (part 5, also revised)
"Fay! Where the hell have you been?!" A man yelled grabbing Takami's arms, putting enough pressure on it to make her wince. She glared at the man and grabbed his hand, trying to pry it off her arm, but she didn't have any luck. He was stronger than she was. Hell, most guys were, it is just how humans where. Men were naturally stronger than women. It is a well known fact, but she still wished she was a little stronger so there wasn't so much pressure on her arm. After all she had gotten a cut from falling over earlier. Damn she was clumsy.

"I've been with Damien, where else would I be?" Takami winced again when he squeezed tighter. He didn't like Damien that much and since she was supposed to be back over two hours ago, her boss wasn't taking this news to well. Does he really think that I would do something…? Her mind tailed off and her face turned red. Crap, now he is going to think I did something. Again, his grip on her arm got tightened, bringing Takami to her knees. Oh yeah, he thinks I did something. "Jay, let go please. You are hurting me."

"Sorry Fay. Just call next time you go somewhere and plan on coming back later than usual. You know I worry about you. You are like a younger sister to me." Jay let go of Takami and fell back into his chair that he had jumped out of when Takami and Damien had walked into the shop. Damien had made Takami change her clothes, which looked the exact same as her last outfit except she had stolen a pair of Damien's sweat pants instead of wearing those stupid shorts, and dragged her to the weapons shop where Takami's boss and best friend was. Jay had let Takami work there so she could get money, and also let her sleep in the upstairs house that came with the store. That is, until Damien came to work a few days later. Damien and Takami couldn't be separated since. Neither of them knew why they didn't like being apart, they just didn't.

"Do you still need me to work today?" Takami asked, getting to her feet and rubbing her arm. If he had tightened his grip any more he probably would have broken her arm in half. Then Damien would have started a fight with Jay and this whole store would be covered in all of their blood. She shook her head, reliving the last time that had happened. Jay had dislocated Takami's shoulder and Damien had tackled Jay. Pinning him to the floor and throwing punches at him, hitting Jay every time. Every time Damien's fist connected with Jay's face or chest Takami would wince. She knew Damien was strong, but to see him do something like that made him look stronger then he really was.

"Are you listening Fay?" Jay asked, raising an eyebrow. Without realizing it, Takami had drifted off into her thoughts and hadn't listened to a single thing that Jay had been saying. She had asked a question and she didn't even bother to listen to the question. Great, now Jay's gunna get mad at me and there will be another fight. Why does this always happen? Takami glance at Damien who had never fully entered the room. He just leaned against the door's wood frame and glared at Jay.
"Sorry, I just drifted off into space, what did you say?" Takami asked, glancing back at Jay.

"You don't have to work tonight, but you really should start paying attention more Fay." Jay smirked and stood up putting a hand lightly on Takami's shoulder. This is one reason why Takami wasn't going to tell Jay her real name. She had changed it so people wouldn't make her go home, and if he figured out that she had lied about not having a home, family, or friends he would drag her back to her family. And she wasn't going back to her family, not now, not ever.

"Alright, then I will just go back to Damien's. I'm tired and I want to take a nap." Takami stretched her arms up towards the ceiling and yawned. She really needed sleep. If she didn't get some soon she might just pass out in the middle of work or while she is taking a shower and either one of those could kill her. People always tried to rob the shop and being a weapons store, it wasn't that hard to just grab a gun and start shooting. Then there was the shower. She could easily drown in the shower. She sighed and turned towards Damien.

"Hey, I do have to work, so you can take the motorcycle and go home or you can just sleep on the couch." Damien shrugged and walked over to a counter. Takami smiled and followed. She planned on just using the couch. She didn't want to leave his side.

"Fay, can I ask you something before you go to sleep." Jay asked, before Takami got too far. Takami sighed and turned around, nodding to Jay to ask his question. When he didn't ask right away Takami raised an eye brow. Jay gazed at Damien and made sure he was out of hearing range. "Do you like Damien?"

"Well duh. I live with him." Takami rolled her eyes and laughed. "No I hate his guts." She laughed harder, making Jay shake his head.

"That's not what I meant, and you know that. I mean, do you love him as in going out with him, kissing, holding hands, and other lovey-dovey things." Jay seemed a little annoyed, but tried not to shoe it too much. Takami was shocked by what he was asking. He didn't need to know about her love life. Hell, she didn't have to tell him anything. He needed to say out of other people's business. She sighed at her thoughts. She should tell him. He disserved that much at least. After all he did help her when she was alone.

"Yeah, I do. I love him."
