Today, was the BEST day of my vacation life. I got to see my friends again!! 8D
I woke up at five o' clock in the morning, only to be rushed by my "dearest" mother. I swear, I just absolutely HATE being rushed. Especially when I'm on vacation. But today was not any other normal vacation day. No no, today was a special vacation day. Today was the first day of Math Boot Camp!!! w00t!!!!!!!! ((Gawd, I feel like such a nerd.)) I tried to sleep early last night, ((9 PM)) but unfortunately, I ended up sleeping at 12 AM. Gah!!! It was a HORRIBLE feeling when I woke up realizing that I only had FIVE hours of sleep. Ugh. But it wasn't MY fault that I slept so late! No no, once it was 9 PM, my "dearest" mother knocked on my bedroom door to make me check MORE of her students tests. Oh yes, the agony. And since I was such a loving daughter, I humbly agreed. She was, after all, VERY tired, especially since she had so much stress on her being promoted as the principal of the school she was working at. The least I could do was check her papers, even if it meant losing a few minutes of sleep. Well, a few minutes turned to a few hours, which turned into a few decades. But i must be exaggerating... I finished checking all her papers of BOTH classes by 10 PM, and decided to get ready for Math Boot Camp. I checked all the supplies I needed: paper, pencils, homework, etc..., then went to look for a decent pair of uniform to wear: a white polo shirt, blue corduroy pants, striped socks, and was able to finish by 10:30 PM. I was about to go to bed, when I realized that my friends had bought me presents for my belated birthday ((03.24.94)) and I wanted to give them the presents that I was given from my cousin. But there was one problem: my room was a jungle. There was so much mess that I was lost in it. It took me at least twenty minutes to search for them all. Luckily, I found the purple Victoria's Secret bag, then both rings my cousin gave me. Once I finished wrapping ((or bagging)) them and placing them inside my pink knapsack, the time was now 11 PM. I laid on my bed, but couldn't sleep. It was just too hot. So I went downstairs into the garage to get the HUGE electric fan ((which also shows the degrees!)). It took a while to bring it upstairs because it was so heavy and I'm not a very strong girl myself. I plugged it in, and went straight to bed, but STILL couldn't sleep. I guess i was nervous to go to school, especially since I had a haircut. I wondered if anyone would even notice me, since my little brother was practically scared to death when I said "hi" to him with my new haircut. He just replied, "Gah! Who are- Wait. Why did you get bangs?!" Eventually, I was lost in my thoughts, and slowly became drowsy. But before I fell asleep, i checked to see if my alarm clock was set, only finding out that it was 12 AM.
Waking up was probably the most horrible feeling I have ever had. Once I herd my "dearest" mother's voice practically screaming and banging on my bedroom door, I sat up and had the HUGEST headache in my entire life. It might have even been a migraine. In order to stop the endless headache and my "dearest" mother's yelling, I had no choice but to get out of my bed. That's when I checked my alarm clock only to find out that it was barely 5 AM. I was close to crying because of how tired I was. But there was really no point in crying, so I slowly walked over to the bathroom to take a shower. By 6 AM, my "dearest" mother thought she was late for work, so she forced me to get dressed faster. I wondered why she thought she was late, when in reality, her work started at 9 AM. I took my time looking for my green sweater, but my "dearest" mother was panicking about how late she supposedly was, and forced me to get in the car to drop me off at my grandpa's house without any sweater whatsoever. Although I was fine, since i was so hot from last night. ((Haha, that kinda sounds dirty once you think about it.)) Luckily, I found my green sweater once I got to my grandpa's house. Checking my phone, it was 6:30 AM, so I made a quick breakfast: half of a chicken sandwich. I gave the other half of the sandwich to my little brother. As I finished washing the dishes, Chan-chan ((my little brother)) told me that his favorite TV show, "Zaboomafoo" was over. That's when I panicked. Because my carpool was coming in less than five minutes if his favorite show was over. All of a sudden, I heard a car's horn, and dashed outside to the front yard. There she was, but she gave me a weird look as I approached her. Then, once I got closer, she gave me a smile. "I zid not recognize joo, wit ze new hair," she said with her thick accent. "Joo looked like your mum." I smiled, wondering if that was a compliment or not. I decided to let it go, and gave a hug to Katherine, Andrell's little sister. We stayed quiet for the rest of the ride, as she picked up more and more students.
Once we reached Walter Reed, I noticed a tall, blonde guy that seemed familiar. Of course: Posh!! i missed him! And I couldn't wait to see what his present for me was. He was talking to Natalia, and they seemed to be busy having a deep conversation. But once I walked a little closer, Natalia waved madly to me. "Hiiii!!!!" was my greeting from her. Posh just stared at me as if I was a complete stranger. I waved to him. "Ummm... Hi?" And then he finally recognized who I was through my voice. "April! Wow, you look... different." I smiled, wondering how else to react. Soon enough, we saw Cindy get out of her car, and being so happy to see her, I screamed out her name which made many heads turn, including hers. When she turned around, she gave me the same look that Posh had given me. Wha was wrong with these people today?! Then she came closer and I said "Hi," again, making her realize who I actually was. "Oh hi, April! For a second there, I didn't know who you were!"
OKAY, OKAY, TO BE CONTINUED.... ***has important things to do like chat with friends in Towns***
:::Edit:::
She didn't know who I was. "For a second." There was nothing I could do but smile. Compliment or not, now I realized it just didn't matter anymore. The only way to react was to smile.
