Tonight...was awesome! o.o
Sam, his parents, his sister, my mother, and me all went to an outdoor gig that Mr. S. and his band were playing tonight.
It.was.fun.
They were supposed to play 7PM-10PM, but at the last minute, the hours got changed to 6PM-9PM, so we missed an hour. =(
Anywho, it was gorgeous. Not only was the weather lovely, but the city with all the flowers and lights. The skywalk all lit up with bright blues and the bridge glowing as the sun began setting. Different smells filling the air. And the music. The incredible music echoing down the streets. It was different...but Sam and I liked it.
Everything was outdoors. Even the resteraunt next to us had outdoor tables.
Sam brought his Zoot Suit Hat with hopes that they'd play Jump Jive and Wail or Zoot Suit Riot and we could dance and he'd be 'fitting' the song. XD
Unfortunately, they played those songs in the hour we were unaware that they were playing. >>;
But, we still had fun with the hat. In fact, I stole it from him...and got complimented. XD
Ah, then...we were dancing...or at least, getting ready to. And just as we went to grab hands...some older lady, drunker than drunk, looks at Sam and says "You can dance with her when I'm done, boy."
Then she drags me off to the other end. Sam followed, thank the Lord. x_x <3
I mean, I could smell the booze on this woman...and she just grabbed my hands and started dancing with me.
Sam just stood there white as a ghost.
I was scared. =|
Then, this lady is all sexy dancin' with me. So, I'm thinking -What the Hell, she's drunk!- so I moved a bit, being careful not to touch anything BUT her hands, since I didn't have much of a choice.
...and then, she goes "Who needs all these penises anyway!"
...Holy Jesus monkey people! SHE'S A GOD DAMN DIKE!
...so, that made me VERY uncomfortable. I just kept my eyes on Sam, who was standing to the side, bouncing around a bit, watching me carefully. That made me feel a bit better. >>
And then, the song finally ends...and I'm all relieved. Then this lady hugs me and says "Thanks for the dance, doll...what's your name?" I was thinking -OMGDON'TYOUTOUCHME!-
Buuuut, I said 'Manda,' and she's all 'Joyce, night sweetie.'

Then this lady looks at Sam and says "I'd had my eye on her all night. You can have her now, boy."

So a slower song comes on and Sam and I are all dancing as I'm FLIPPING OUT about this.
I mean, I thought, since she WAS a lady...that she was going to take Sam. But no. >>;
Anywho, Sam and I walk back over to the folks as I'm grasping his frick'n arm going "Don't you let that lady take me away again!"
Then all our parents...are all "WHOTHEHELLWASTHATWOMAN!?"...espescially my mother, who was panicing when some lady grabbed me and pulled me away.
And I was just standing there, laughing it off.
Y'know? Like...that nervous -I'm scared s**t-less- laugh. o.<
So Sam and I tell them all what happened...and they're just sitting there...wide-eyed and stuff.
...It was scary.
...but anyway, it was a fun night. Sam and I want to do more around that area now. xD
