Mmhmm, like the title says, I'ma ramble about Pokemon a little bit.
I'm a gym leader in the OPT, sporting the Fighting type and (hopefully) the spiffily-named Prowess Badge. This team was a feat in itself, with the few Fighting types there are, along with my own limitations.
In the competitive world, there are only 6 UU, even fewer BL, and then you have the OUs. 6 of those as well and some of the more famous names in Pokemon, examples being Heracross, Lucario, and Infernape. I have limited myself to one BL, one OU, and the rest must be UU.
The general idea for the team (IE movesets and the like) have already been written down and I'm 1/6 on my team so far. No names will be revealed for now, since I want my team to be fairly secret until I start battling. Rest assured, if you wagered a guess at the UUs I've picked, you'd probably be right, since there are merely two I've not picked. @w@; Of those two, one of them is an alt, a Pokemon I may switch into my team in place of another. It adds a little variation and assures that not many will guess my strategies. I may create alts for all of the Fighting types, just because it's fun to switch members on someone expecting to fight something entirely different. I'll still stick to my rules: 4 UU, 1 BL, 1 OU.
Needless to say, the bulk of Fighting types is in the physical sweeper niche, and I've taken it upon myself to get them out of that rut. I've succeeded with one of them (the Pokemon I chose out of OU), and working on another popular powerhouse. Medicham. I say this now because it was undeniable that I would use it. The only non-sweeper strategies I've found for Medicham don't work in Single battles. He can Baton Pass, but is too frail to manage it, too limited in his movepool to do anything with it, and too slow to pull off the pass before he dies. Besides, I would hate to leave Medicham as cannon-fodder for a stronger Pokemon waiting in the wings.
Anyway, that's about all I've got to say. I'd ramble on about my obsession with Dragonite, but that's sort of gone away in the midst of training.
