Of Strangeness, and Two Homecomings
Rose, and Strangeness

As she sat and contemplated the happenings of the last weeks, she hardly paid much attention to the others. Until suddenly Wynn and Shal and Wolf all dropped to the floor and started convulsing. It lasted only a second, but Rose had already hopped up and went to grab Shalimar and Wynn before it stopped.

So Rose skidded to a halt when they all stopped convulsing.

"Are you all all right? What just happened?" Rose asked. "Nerissa! Nerissa if you can hear me tell Dragon that almost everyone up here just got hit by something!!" Knowing about some of the ties within the Dragon Dynasty, things like simultaneous spasms were never good.

Taran, and a Homecoming, of sorts...

Taran, as he, ANTIE-D and the animals were leaving the ship, heard Rhonabwy call after him, and tell him his Dragon would be proud. Taran couldn't help but smile a small satisfied smile. Now if only he could get some rest... maybe be on sabatical again- since that was the term he used for times when his dragon didn't need him. Maybe he could... what? What would he do next?

As they walked the fairly short distance to Rose's house, he tried to contemplate this. What was next for him now? He had found the last remaining Ice gwee, and her twin a fire gwee. He had found and studied a creature of almost impossible lineage... and he wasn't sure he wanted to leave her. She was... well, she was certainly unexpected. She was now a skilled killer, but somehow still seemed innocent. He wondered how much she felt she had changed throughout this journey. And he had other questions, as well. He had finally figured out the last quarter of her lineage. It was something he should have recognized earlier, but wasn't used to encountering in others. And what of the odd woman who looked like her? He was certainly going to have a talk with ANTIE-D about that one.

They walked up to Rose's house, through the front garden. It looked like it had been kept up well. Possibly by the small managerie that Rose kept as pets/companions? As they neared the front door, though, Taran laughed.

ANTIE-D looked over at him.

"What is it?" she asked.

"Look in the front window." he said, still laughing, though he was sore enough already.

The curtains had been pulled back from the front window just moments prior. And rather than a view into the living room, the entire window was filled with the eyes of animals. And some faces and other body parts. But the eyes all seemed to shine, as many animals' eyes do.

"Somehow I think there are more animal friends in there than before." Taran said, after he finally stopped laughing.

ANTIE-D had, after Taran's comment, linked back up with the house network. "Somehow, you just don't know how right you are." she replied. "I wonder how many of them think this is their home now?"

Se'rox, and another Homecoming

As Zuchax III agreed to help get her home (since she still felt too physically confused from her long ordeal with the Nobody Hunters), she smiled. He was still intermittently sniffing her neck/arm, which was still rather... tickly. But he pulled the jacket down her arm a bit, and then said the strangest thing.

"I have a what now?" Se'rox asked. He said it was a nicely done decoration, and he had said a few moments before that it smelled of ink. Her eyes widened in surprise.

She paid close attention while he seemed intrigued by what Se'rox was beginning to assume was a tattoo on her arm. Trying to figure out the shape was practically impossible. She could only ever see things in 3-D, since she was blind, and had too hard a time figuring them out in 2-D.

She was about to ask him what it was, and what it looked like (something she rarely did, seeing as people explaining colors what such a weird thing) when he made the comment about the jacket. Seeing as he was done tracing the tattoo, she shrugged the jacket back over her shoulder, and snuggled into it a bit more. She still needed to know about her arm....

"So, what exactly is on my arm, now?" Se'rox asked quite plainly. She needed to know, but since there was likely nothing she could do about it, there was no urgency in her voice.

She wanted to wait for an answer about that before asking about the importance of his jacket.

She felt them getting into a familiar area; she knew these grounds well. They would be back to the house shortly.

These fuzzy aminals better not be rabid!
I just don't know which of my pets actually let them in. Niko's my most trustworthy, and she went with me.

As far as convulsions... ya. Can't be good. Can i go home now?
